- CChristophervipGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined todayThis is not only one of the best restaurants in the Jacksonville area; it's one of the best restaurants I've been to anywhere in the US. We dined for my birthday on a Monday evening in December. When we arrived, there was a hand-written Happy Birthday card on our table, and all the servers seemed to be aware of my birthday, but not in an annoying way (and no one sang!) The server accommodated my mocktail request, and the bar fixed up a delicious and complex creation that didn't make me miss alcohol. The food was simply outstanding: gorgeously presented, flavorful, elegant, and unique. We had the chickpea fritters, homemade garganelle with rabbit sauce, bread service, bacon-wrapped pork, and roasted chicken, all of which was simple and focused yet surprising. The restaurant itself is understated chic. Generally, the attention to detail here is superb, and I'd recommend to anyone for a special occasion or just a nice night out. Prices are on the higher side but not outrageous and totally worth it.More infoRue Saint-MarcPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Jacksonville•4.9
- KKarynJacksonville / Northeast Florida •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoOverall, it was good. Service was good & the ambiance was great. I love Town Hall and wanted to share the experience with my friend for her birthday. We ordered the filet mignon medium rare. What we got was close to being well done. Our server asked how our filets were before we had even cut into them and didn't come back until she saw I was finished eating. My friend didn't want to send hers back because she said the meat was still tender. I left over half of mine to bring home. The Duck Fat Cornbread was good as were the crispy fried Brussell sprouts. I just wish the filets had been cooked medium rare per our request.More infoTown HallPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Jacksonville•4.8
- MMonicaSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe Chart House is always a friendly and elegant place to dine and Thanksgiving was no different. Our greeters and server (Angelique) were excellent- attentive and efficient. My only complaint was that the turkey was too salty, but that may just be me, I have been reducing my salt intake so perhaps I was not used to it. Regardless, I will always recommend the Chart House as one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville.More infoChart House Restaurant - JacksonvillePrice: Moderate• Seafood• Jacksonville•4.6
- LLindavipSouth Carolina •25 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMatthew's Restaurant has been our go-to in Jacksonville for a number of years, so my husband and I decided to visit for a romantic date night before the full-blown Thanksgiving celebration with the family. The meal was not just a meal, but an amazing experience from start to finish. What do we love about Matthew's? First of all, the ambiance is perfect--pleasant lighting, white tablecloths, and professionally dressed staff members who seem happy to be there. This sets the scene for what's to come. The cocktails are stellar--well-balanced and delicious. (You can't go wrong with their list, but the bartender is also friendly and amenable to special requests.) The bread is outstanding; the salads fresh, colorful and tasty; the entrees creative and artfully presented. Save room for dessert, too. Tip: Get one for each person in your party, because they are fairly small, and you will want to taste more than one! Many thanks to Matthew for running a first-class business and to all the staff members for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Special thanks to Preston for his wonderful service--attentive, but not obtrusive. This may have to become our annual tradition: the night before Thanksgiving at Matthew's.More infoMatthew's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Contemporary European• Jacksonville•4.8
