Restaurants near Thornbury Hill

Honestly, the only fault I can find is it's not closer to my house. Absolutely superb food and service, my wife and I were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary and we were treated like royalty. We had the seafood platter for two and a sweet each which was more than enough. Cannot fault anything,a huge thanks to all involved, you made our evening very special.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch of cottage pie and Doddington burger. Both dishes were accompanied by generous portions of kitchen garden vegetables/salad and were delicious. Glasses of Sangiovese were a very good match for the food. Too full to have a dessert, we opted for a coffee and mince pie. It is well worth reserving a table in the restaurant. Although there is inevitably some noise from the cafe below, this was not intrusive. Views of the lake and beyond to open countryside provide a very pleasant backdrop to any meal. Service was both friendly and efficient.

Food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. The homemade caramel vodka was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. OLÉ!!!

Another lovely meal at The Ffolkes and Oishi Kitchen, food was delicious and friendly service as always. Rounded off with a game of container golf which is always fun! We’ll be back again soon, the Richards family!

We came on Wednesday 2nd October in the evening after a recommendation from someone in the village and had such a lovely experience. We both had the rump steak and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The member of staff on shift was excellent so friendly and attentive. We had our newborn so eating out can be a bit stressful but were made to feel welcome and looked after. Great value for money we’ll be back soon.
