- BBarbaravipNew York City •19 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoI had dinner at Sea Salt with three friends to celebrate a birthday, and asked for a quiet table. They provided a quiet location but unfortunately there was a group of 4 nearby that became loud and boisterous. Food was very good, especially the zucchini and eggplant chips. Grilled branzino was fine but not very interesting - no sides with it. Halibut was excellent - asked for the lentil salad with it which was also excellent. One person had salmon which she didn't much like. Dessert was lava cake with ice cream - delicious. Service was very good. We would go back and try some of the meat dishes.More infoSea SaltPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Upper East Side•4.5

The gal checking reservations at the entrance to the hotel to admit guests inside could use a refresher in customer service. How about welcome guests warmly with a smile? Say hello or good morning? Make eye contact? Literally anything other than the cold front she put on. Maybe she hates her job? For paying $500+ for tea time lunch you shouldn’t act like we’re inconveniencing you. She also didn’t offer the lift for my stroller and just watched us struggle carrying it up the stairs and no one grabbed the door to help. They stand on the stairs looking down on people trying to come inside like they’re better than everyone else. That part is odd.More infoThe Palm Court at The Plaza HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• Midtown East•4.4

The combination of impeccable food, a refined atmosphere, and excellent service made for an unforgettable evening. The Food I opted for their ribeye steak, and it was, without a doubt, one of the finest cuts of beef I’ve ever had. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak had a beautifully caramelized crust that locked in all the rich, robust flavors. Every bite was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Paired with the ribeye were their smashed potatoes, a simple yet elevated side that brought the meal together. Creamy and buttery with a hint of garlic, they were the perfect complement to the richness of the steak. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was elegant yet inviting. The Beers To accompany my meal, I chose a couple of IPA beers from their thoughtfully curated drink menu. The first was a bold, hoppy West Coast IPA with citrus and pine undertones that paired beautifully with the richness of the ribeye. The second was a hazy New England IPA, bursting with tropical fruit flavors, which provided a refreshing contrast to the hearty meal. Both beers were served perfectly chilled, enhancing their flavor profiles and making them an ideal match for the steak. The Atmosphere and Service La Grande Boucherie’s ambiance is something to behold. The stunning décor, with its grand Parisian brasserie-inspired design, added a layer of sophistication to the evening. Despite the upscale vibe, the atmosphere remained welcoming and warm. The service was equally remarkable. My server was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about helping me pair the perfect beer with my meal. Their genuine passion for the menu and dedication to making my experience memorable was evident throughout. I want to thank Omar and Regina for their Amazing treat I’m already looking forward to my next visit!More infoLa Grande BoucheriePrice: Very Expensive• French• Midtown West•4.6
