1913 Restaurant & Bar is no ordinary restaurant. Named for the founding year of the City of Hope, 1913 is a place where every plate is thoughtfully curated to nourish one’s body, heart, spirit, and soul. Executive Chef Christian Eggerling and his diverse team of culinary talent make healthy food fun, sometimes fancy (because we all deserve it), but never boring. Fresh wild-caught seafood, locally sourced meat, garden-harvested vegetables, decadent desserts, curated wine list and craft cocktail program make 1913 the ideal destination for any occasion. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and private events can be experienced in our modern and elegant restaurant or outside on the patio with a picture-perfect view of the local foothill mountains. Whether you are a team member, local or visitor to our historic campus - our commitment to locally farmed, sustainability-focused food is not just a pledge, it is a promise.

The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge. This is the second time I've been there and let me tell you, they don't disappoint. I went there for brunch and the price is reasonable, the food is fresh and the service is A1. This time they had roast beef slider they turned my world upside down. It was so flavorful. If you need a hidden gem to go to brunch at this by far is the best!!!

My girlfriend and I haven’t been to a Benihana’s in 10 years. 10 years later, they are still going stronger than ever. As soon as we stepped in, I could immediately smell the delicious aroma. Despite frequent power issues, leading to computer issues, they did not let it stop them from putting on an amazing show, performing with amazing service, and cooking the most amazing hibachi stir fry anywhere. I am in the culinary business myself and the hibachi shrimp was absolutely to die for, cooked to perfection and flavored with love. My girlfriend also tried their sushi for the first time which neither of us have ever had. They have some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. But my absolute favorite is still their amazing mustard sauce. I could eat with that sauce absolutely all day. Benihana still remains one of my top favorite restaurant spots to visit. Thank you so much for an amazing meal and experience!

This place was beautiful and the service was spectacular. I’d say it’s a lil too pricey for what you get though. I’ve had high tea at other places that were around $30-$40 and had more stuff whereas this place (while yes it was good) was $64 per person for a few slices of bread, tarts, crumpets, and one tea selection. On top of that, you have to pay to get into the Huntington. I still rate it five stars cause it was a beautiful and calm experience, but again just a bit overpriced.
