Restaurants near West Newport Park

This is probably our eight or ninth time at Ocean 48. We’ve also eaten at Ocean 48 in Beverly Hills. overall I would give it a five star rating the food the service the ambience. The noise level is so great you can sit and have a conversation and have to scream, you can hear each other talk  which is a nice treat for a normal restaurant.

Beautiful views and location. Service was outstanding. Food is delicious and good portions. Hope to visit again soon with a bigger group.

Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent! I mean the views!! Does it get any better?? On the food side, you always know what you are getting at Nobu but our experience at this location was beyond excellent because of our server! Arisa was AMAZING! She knew her stuff from cocktails to food to specials of the day to desserts! She was attentive and polite and professional! She is the perfect server! (and this comes from a previous server and trainee for high end restaurants) I loved her! On the food side we ordered a lot of items as there were 6 of us, edamame, rock shrimp, tuna nigiri, salmon nigiri, yellowtail hamachi, spicy tuna crispy rice, soft shell crab roll, tuna roll, the special they had of Amberjack with shaved truffles! ( so good!!) and black cod miso of course!! For dessert we had the yummiest Xurros and a whiskey cream something or other… everything was outstanding! I cannot wait to go back!

If you haven't been to iL Barone (it has moved in where Cucina Alessa used to be) then you HAVE to go! The food is extraordinary along with great friendly service. Some restaurants push their 'specials' to move unwanted food but we go twice (or more) weekly and only out of curiosity do we ask before ordering it. Phenomenal culinary artistry from homemade pasta to sea bass their own special way. There's no scrimping on serving size or quality. If you're lucky to have Frankie as your server he will assist you in scoring a goal or 2.

Excellent breakfast this morning. Will definitely return for more meals here.
