Restaurants near Wingate by Wyndham Rome

The food here is excellent! Josh is a great waiter, we ask to be seated with him everytime we come to the restaurant. Fried calamari very light great appetizer. This time I had chicken franchise. Very tasty, had leftovers. Hubby had shrimp scampi, he always has this dish. We also shared a Caesar salad, it is large enough to share.

Great as usual. It’s the only Asian restaurant we know of where the chicken with a flour coating dishes (as in General Tso’s or Sweet/Sour) actually has chicken in it, and is meaty and tender. Of course it costs more, but then again the portions are so large you can plan on a full dinner for tomorrow as well.

Nate was a great server! We enjoyed everything! We had the lobster bisque, clam chowder, focaccia, and a shrimp cocktail for a nice early light dinner.

The amuse-bouche was delicious: a squash puree, with cranberries, and a wonderful crumble -- could be an appetizer! Shrimp Cocktail is superb -- very large shrimp; good cocktail sauce. Caesar Salad tonight was very good: dark green lettuce, very good dressing, nice bread accompaniment. Spouse's crab cake was appropriately prepared and tasty. My bone-in rib-eye was very good. Ordered it medium-rare -- was just on the border, more approaching medium. The Buttered Mashed Potatoes side we had was delicious BUT for the size (small ramekin), the price $16.00, is outrageous!! It wasn't busy, so the noise level was not an issue.

Everything was perfect...the staff were professional and very interactive. Food was phenomenal. Top notch...a very enjoyable experience.
