    Very loud, cold, and my chair was bashed more than 20 times by staff members. Don’t go for the ambiance. Rabbit stew, pate, and French bread were all delicious

    As always the food doesn’t disappoint. The service did. We were greeted by one service person —“ I’ll take care of you”—who disappeared then: no explanation till we asked another passing server, who had taken over our table it seems. Maybe the place was short staffed, but we had to grab a server passing by rapidly each time we needed something: drinks, dessert, water. And despite making a reservation 6 weeks in advance we had a table by the cold door.. It’s a marvelous place—most of the time. Not last night.

    French Bistro doesn’t get any more authentic in Chicago than Le Bouchon, which maintains its excellence in the tradition of Jean-Claude. Service is quintessentially Chicagoan in professionalism and personality, while lacking in the typical French diffidence. Can’t misses: steak frites or moules et frites, tarte à l’oignon or crôque madame. Specials are spéciales and a late lunch can make the rest of your day.

    We love Le Bouchon so much. Has been our favorite restaurant in the city since we moved to Chicago and we’ve never had a bad time there. I was surprised to see how crowded it was on a Monday night but happy to see the restaurant so busy!

    One of my all-time favorite spots in Chicago for YEARS. Mondays are the best: half-price bottles of wine. Adore the French onion soup, the frites with aioli, the salad Lyonnaise. It's all great! With friendly, professional service and a total Parisian vibe.

    Amazing dinner, however, the initial server passed us off mid meal after, I commented that 2 courses came together and I felt rushed. Then the appetizer I ordered 3x came out burnt. It’s the best Bistro outside Paris and here in Chicago that’s a win. The staff was kind but it felt off kilter.

    Excellent food (improved quality since the remodel), same for the service. Drinks quite good, likewise the wine; note the wine list has more pricey wines. Room is brighter, but noisy as ever.
