You’re greeted outside by the valet and the greeting continues as you check in. The hostess leads you to your table where you’re met by your server who walks you through the fixed price menu. Make no mistake. This restaurant is pricey but the excellent service, delicious food, and extensive wine list make your evening unforgettable. There is also a full bar. The chef sends out a special amuse-bouche to start your meal. We enjoyed the pear and endive salad, petite fillet, lobster, beef Wellington, fruit tart and chocolate cake. Everything was well prepared and presented beautifully. This restaurant located at the edge of Atherton feels like you’re dining in the best SF restaurant.

I’ve been multiple times and enjoy bringing friends and family visiting Austin here because the food and cocktails are consistently good. They were able to move my grandparents and I to a quieter section of the restaurant and were extremely accommodating overall. Great service and pleasant staff. It is on the pricy side ($110-130 per person), but the flavors are varied and unusual compared to other restaurants in the area.

Overall great experience and food. The appetizers were excellent and the steaks pretty good. We ordered the wagyu tomahawk, wagyu ribeye, dry-aged porterhouse and a few others. Only issue was the porterhouse was cooked Medium, which we told the waiter. We ordered all the steaks medium rare. He tried to convince us it was medium rare but we showed him how there was no red in the middle and the ends of the steak were dried out. Then he stopped but nothing was offered, which was odd to us.

As a first timer I was highly impressed by the Customer Service, we were seated right away, and the wait staff wasted no time with getting water to the table and then asked if we wanted appetizers right off the bat. Once we made our order the food was prepared and brought to the table faster than I expected. Love and Salt is a story that begins with Cafe Pierre, a restaurant birthed by Guy Gabriele in 1977 to bring a taste of France to Los Angeles’ South Bay. While Cafe Pierre was a beloved part of the community for nearly 37 years, in 2014, Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele, now the owner of Love and Salt, closed the restaurant to bring new life to the iconic space.

Love and Salt is a philosophy: that food needs only two ingredients to be great. It’s a sensibility that informs the feeling in the restaurant and the dishes on the menu — Italian-inspired with Southern California soul. An approachable wine list and classic cocktail program similarly reflect the vibrant SoCal setting of the restaurant, located just steps from the Manhattan Beach pier.

Chef Niven highlights the experience of dining at Ghee: "I want to my guests to walk into Ghee with the sense of entering my home. I want them to feel at home. Came here with a large group for family birthday dinner. The food and service was top-notch and everyone was extremely happy. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a large space for dinner because this is now one of my favorite go-to spots. Came here with a large group for family birthday dinner. The food and service was top-notch and everyone was extremely happy. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a large space for dinner because this is now one of my favorite go-to spots. The servers were all very kind and accommodating and the food came out delicious and piping hot.
