Michael Mina is a celebrity chef in Vegas. One of his most popular restaurants is StripSteak which aims to take the "stuffy" out of the classic steakhouse. StripSteak is the Aria Hotel and Casino, and it has traditional steakhouse options, like rib-eye, Scottish salmon, and a whole host of sides. Diners rave about the Maine lobster tacos, though, which come as a starter and include shrimp, shiso, kewpie mayo, and celery root spuma. Diners might not automatically think about tacos when they come to a Japanese restaurant. But at Kumi, in Manadalay Bay, they can find some of the best tacos in Las Vegas. This stylish, whimsical restaurant with walls decorated in colorful leaf decor and light wood accents, has a typical Japanese sushi menu. Tapas is king at Crush, a gorgeous restaurant at the MGM Grand. On the tapas menu are the short rib tacos, which come with pickled red onions and cilantro. Outstanding experience. Feels elegant casual, and at the same time like family dining with such personalized service that chef Tran filled our water glasses, was gracious to take a minute for a conversation, and on the way out was behind the bar mixing drinks. Not JUST palette pleasing. Heart warming.

We had an amazing waiter Sunday who guided us through the menu. Everything was delicious. Definitely take advantage of the Iberian ham. From presentation to taste everything was superb.

I got there at 5 o'clock and they had an early bird menu. One of the items was chicken nachos. The plate came, and it was huge. They were so good I finished the whole thing. I will definitely get them again.
