Our dining experience and meal at Aquavit was by far the best we had in the city during our week long stay. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive and guided us in making our selections. The onion soup and roasted beet salad for our first course was outstanding as was the Kroppkakor and the cod for our second course. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in NYC.

Went as a group of 3. Ambience was great - buzzy but still easy to talk. Food was fantastic, some tapas staples but a lot of different and unique dishes as well. Great variety across fish and meat. Could be a little more vegetarian selection though. The service was excellent throughout, really attentive. And the sommelier did a fantastic job of matching the extensive wine list!

We only serve Omakase Dinner Course for $280 per person at 2 specific times Tuesdays through Saturdays between 5:30PM and 8PM.

Tempura Matsui is designed to emulate a Japanese cottage with warm woods, slate floors. A five-seat bar allows guests to wait for their seats while enjoying a glass of wine, sake, cocktail, or beer.

I had the tomahawk veal chop parmesan. It was delicious and the tomato sauce was different than the usual Italian sauce. It had a tang or zest to it, hard to explain, but very good. I asked the owner and he said it was marzano tomato sauce.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable restaurant that exceeded all expectations. As a Swede, I found the ingredients familiar, yet their creative and subtle twists elevated the dishes in the most delightful way. The wine pairing was exceptional, perfectly complementing each course and enhancing the overall experience. In comparison to MASA, another top restaurant I visited during this trip, this establishment offered better value for money. Of course you cant compare the two, but ASKA stood out. I wish I could come back to this place again!! Thank you Chef Fredrik + an amazing team! PS the chef's wife's playlist added to our experience. 10/10!!

The 14-seat Chef's Counter restaurant serves a seasonally driven menu and is secretly hidden behind the all-day neighborhood eatery, HALL. Chef's counter menu changes on a monthly basis and all ingredients are sustainably sourced.

Incredible dinner here. First and foremost the service was amazing. Staff treated me super well and really made me feel special. The food itself was also amazingly flavorful. Highly recommending getting the abalone special. Definitely felt full after the meal as well. Overall, i think its reasonable value and I can see why they have a star.

Behind 8282 is a couple who previously ran the restaurant Pado in the East Village. Cecily comes to join a bunch of new excelent restaurants along Franklin/Greenpoint. A little pricey and nice welcoming service -slightly slow at the beginning, but very nice- it arguably serves the most refined, elegant and delicious fare in the neigborough. The menu is rather short but everything was just perfect, masterfully elaborated. Great Wine list but one regrets the lack of some good, more affordable wines. Definitely worth the experience.

Give yourself and your party time. as the drinks and food arrived rather slowly. Food though was delicious. We had an early evening reservation (5:15) on a Friday night and there were lots of available tables, with a few people coming in for pick up orders. By the time we left though (7:30ish) the place was full. Too full to order dessert but very happy with the meal and certainly the selections on the menu.

Zaab Zaab is proud natives of Queens, opened their restaurant in the heart of Elmhurst’s Little Thailand in April of 2022 just before Songrkan, or Thai New Year. The destination for authentic Isaan cuisine from Northeastern Thailand has received numerous accolades, including a 3-star review from Pete Wells of The New York Times, and being listed two years in a row on the NYT’s 100 Best Restaurants in NYC as well as being nominated as a semifinalist in the outstanding Restaurateur category for the 2024 James Beard Foundation Awards. Zaab Zaab is also recognized as a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant.  

“My original thinking when we opened the restaurant was to serve the local Thai community in Elmhurst,” says Chunton. “Clearly I underestimated New York City’s appetite for Northeastern Thai food. We now have five locations across Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and are so proud to represent Thai food and culture in New York City.”

Located in the heart of the East Village, Tsukimi offers a modern take on kaiseki, a multi-course Japanese dinner. The name Tsukimi translates to moon viewing and refers to the mid-autumn harvest festival honoring the moon at its fullest and brightest.

We are a unique 12-seat counter tasting course experience, exploring seasonal creations by Chef Takanori Akiyama and his team alongside a thoughtfully curated beverage program offering sake, wine, select Japanese spirits and pairings.

We waited for this experience to the end of our trip in New York. The experience was absolutely breathtaking, and the food was so wonderful. The staff ensured that each of us experienced all of the food by providing descriptions of each course. The intimate dining atmosphere was magnificent and made our Christmas so very special.
