Winterlicious 2025. Semi-hidden restaurant on the second floor. Ambience is excellent - it’s modern but warm with comfortable touches like their couch seating that spans much of the northern perimeter. Regular menu is small and easy to choose from, wine selection offers plenty of choice. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. We had two servers and both were very friendly and attentive. Glasses were kept full of water which I appreciated. Food- I’ll start by saying it’s a 4 course winterlicious meal. There was a lot of food between the dips, mezze , main and dessert. I believe a floor manager or host recommended the Truffle Rakakat (spelling*) for the mezze portion. Not that the other food wasn’t great but, man oh man, the Rakakat was VERY good. If you like cheese, it’s a levelled up mozzarella stick. Mains were lamb and skewer plates. Both great and there was plenty of food, no skimping here! All in all, it was a great winterlicious experience here. Makes me want to come back for the regular service menu.

It was a really romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. The pre-fix dinner was delicious and they accommodated our food intolerances (dairy and gluten). The beet salad minus the ricotta cheese lacked flavor but was better with some salt and pepper. Otherwise the food was delicious and the ambiance very cool. Thank you!

We looked up the Happy Hour menu and decided to give Boom + Batten a try. Not only did everything exceed our expectations, the location and timing allowed for us to take in a gorgeous sunset with an ocean view. It was a fantastically relaxing date for two on our mini-holiday away.

Great experience overall, the servers were highly attentive and friendly. Very delicious food and the menu seems to rotate at a good pace that everytime feels like a unique adventure. You can spend hours here, I would recommend attending when that is a possibility ie not major holidays where 2 hr seating limits are in place.

We had a wonderful post Valentine’s lunch in the basement overlooking the river and the snow is coming down. It was absolutely beautiful and the food was great and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be going back. I ordered a gluten-free pasta dish, and my  husband said you couldn’t tell that it was gluten-free. We had tortellini as well for my daughter and she loved it. We also had bruschetta which was presented well and very nice.

Had a great time :) our waiter Wilson was great and very attentive. I am very picky when it comes to tacos but they were amazing !!! Cooked perfectly ! The margaritas were amazing as well. Will be coming back ;)

The food never disappoints, never. This has to be one of my Absolute favourite places to dine. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu and appropriate pairings. Really wonderful menu! Burrito and prosciutto were delish and short rib and veggie main dish was wonderful. My son enjoyed his pepperoni pizza as well. Fried Brussels were good but way too much sweet teriyaki sauce for me personally Would have preferred it be served on the side if I had known.

The Mic Mac Bar & Grill is a family-owned business that began in 1963. At that time, all of the meals were made by the owner’s wife who, incidentally, started off with no experience.

By 1966, Mic Mac Bar & Grill had become a local watering hole for men, but ladies arrived on the scene in 1974. The Mic Mac Beverage Room has become famous for its delicious home-cooked meals, especially its steaks, and provides excellent dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

May the 40-year tradition continue!

we went for supper tonight for my grandson's birthday and it did not fail. Had a reservation so only had to wait a couple of minutes. Our server was Rob and he was spot on. We had calamari for an app it was so so good, more than enough for3. I got a hot hamburger, it was very tasty love their gravy. My grandson ordered the chicken and steak with sweet potato fries with cheesy garlic bread and he had no complaints, my son got the fillet with salad he said it was delicious. Perfectly cooked medium rare.

As always an incredible spot -- great food, incredible service (our service individual was so incredibly polite, attentive and very willing to go out of their way). The restaurant focuses on little details -- they had someone cleaning the entrance every time on a very snowy day in TO. They even had broken down the snow banks from the curb so people could load and unload right in front of the restaurant.

Really enjoyed the new look and new items on the menu. We were a bit disappointed though that several menu items were not available. Our friends even checked the menu online to see what was available. The choices they were going to make as well as mine were out of stock. Too bad as we were interested in trying the schnitzel. That being said, Mirella was amazing. Very quick, helpful and funny. She made the night better. Thank You.

We decided to take advantage of the Winterlicious menu at Sassafraz. The choices offered were a good variety and excellent value for money. The service was fantastic and the ambience was lovely. I ordered the fetaccine Alfredo and my husband ordered the winter salad with blackened chicken. We were very pleased with our meals. Tasty, fresh, and filling. The staff were attentive. Even at night the view across the lake was stunning. We will be back again and again.

We had a lovely experience at Taps, it’s as though they brought the downtown vibe to Mississauga. Where do I start? The service was amazing, decor modern and classy, the food was delicious and the front host was attentive. He was so considerate and even gave my kids roses for valentines days, a small gesture like that goes a long way for kids.

Our first time here and won’t be our last! We had read so many good reviews and undefined totally lived up to their reputation! We had the risotto, the kale salad, and the hanger steak. Plus the dumplings as an appetizer. The mock tails were also fabulous! Don’t hesitate.

Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.
