The entire ambient is very nice, the river, the falls… then you have the food, very well done. Everything we order was delicious (mushroom risotto, shrimp sandwich, salmon, panacota). The waiter was very nice as well, so attentive - I regret not asking his name to be able to mention here. We will be returning to try the brunch, it seems amazing 😊

Just came here today with my boyfriend for his birthday lunch. I have been here before once previously, however it was his first time there. We were greeted by Melissa at the front when we arrived. She was super sweet, wished my boyfriend a happy birthday on the spot and took us to our seats. We ordered the fresh burrata and arugula salad to start along with a matcha latte and mimosa. We got the roadside lobster roll and roasted chicken with a side of charred broccolini. Honestly, the food was amazing. I remembered the roasted chicken being good the first time I was here and had to come back for it and even after many years of not going, it is still just as good as I remembered it to be. It is moist and tender. The food was spectacular and reasonably priced. They came out with a cookie and candle for my boyfriend’s birthday as well, which I did not expect. We also got a butterscotch brûlée, which was a little on the sweeter side, but it was light and airy, making it a perfect way to end a delicious meal. The service was excellent and the staff were very efficient. Our server Kim offered great service and was very attentive. She refilled our waters and was super friendly. Melissa was super nice and sweet, also very accommodating and made the birthday experience for my boyfriend incredible. Thank you to both of you and for the wonderful service and help that you both have provided! :) Will definitely come back again soon!

Lunch at Sole turned out to be another memorable experience. Our meal started with escargots as appetizer, a light but savory opener, follow by baked salmon, accompanied by specially ordered asparagus with beurre blanc. Our thanks and appreciation to Jason, Sole's general manger, who made this happen. The "drifting" chardonnay on the wine list was a perfect fit for both appetizer and main course. Our meal ended with a capuccino, timing wrong but taste so right, because we didn't have room left for creme brulee, which would have been the favorite. What made the whole experience even better was Monica's perfect service. Will be back soon, especially because the amazing patio is now open again!

Lunch at Sole turned out to be another memorable experience. Our meal started with escargots as appetizer, a light but savory opener, follow by baked salmon, accompanied by specially ordered asparagus with beurre blanc. Our thanks and appreciation to Jason, Sole's general manger, who made this happen. The "drifting" chardonnay on the wine list was a perfect fit for both appetizer and main course. Our meal ended with a capuccino, timing wrong but taste so right, because we didn't have room left for creme brulee, which would have been the favorite. What made the whole experience even better was Monica's perfect service. Will be back soon, especially because the amazing patio is now open again!

Opened in 1986 by Uli Blume, it was one of White Rock's original waterfront restaurants and quickly became a favourite among locals for its great food and friendly atmosphere. Uli's son Tyson took over operations in 2008 and he picked up right where his father left off – providing the White Rock waterfront with a fun and relaxed place to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, stunning water views, refreshingly simple food, an extensive international beer list, and a diverse selection of wines. Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.
