It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years.

Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Our team has worked hard to connect to our community, and we value our customers. We have been eating at Linwoods for many years. We have always loved the food and atmosphere there. The service is always great, The waiters always treat you special. We haven't been to Linwoods in awhile, simply because we live a good distance from the restaurant. We were not disappointed and can't wait to go back.

Kathryn provided fantastic service, learning everyone’s names at the table of 7. The Holiday Legends Show was fantastic - as the food always is! The Blue Moon is a local treasure!

The food was delicious. We bad the pear and ricotta bruschetta, bolognese and the pasta alla vodka. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was attentive.

Had a really good meal, though my NY Strip was a big Luke warm and my creamed spinach was dry. The potatoes au gratin were great and the loaded baked potato was good as well. My Dad said his 6oz fillet was amazing. Nathan was a wonderful server.

Malik at the Maggiano’s in Columbia, Maryland, provided an extraordinary dining experience that truly elevated my Mom’s birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, Malik ensured that my Mom, the elegant birthday girl, was treated like royalty. His attentiveness and care went above and beyond, making her feel cherished and celebrated on her special day. He was patient, kind, and always present despite managing a full and bustling restaurant. Malik’s thoughtful service made the evening unforgettable. He accommodated my allergies with ease, ensuring I could enjoy the meal stress-free, and brought a smile to my Mom’s face with his warm humor and attention to detail. The highlight of the evening was the decadent butter cake he surprised her with—it was the perfect touch to end a delightful celebration. I also want to give a special thank you to the manager, Mike, for ensuring every detail was flawless. Together, Malik and Mike created a welcoming and intimate atmosphere that made the evening feel extra special. For anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, Maggiano’s in Columbia is the perfect choice. Fogo de Chao never disappoints us. Baltimore is our favorite location. Market Table is always super fresh with so many things to choose from. Being able to add on a meat selection is a plus too. Everyone leaves happy! Shout out to the bartender....our drinks were amazing!! Looking forward to our next visit in February.
