No longer a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. Our new concept more energetic music, vibrant craft cocktails & mocktails along with the same homemade pastas and signature dishes, such as Ciambotta (sausage & peppers), meatballs, Chicken "limone" with a lemon butter & capers sauce amongst others that have been loved throughout the years from Frankie's. We also added authentic southern Italian style pizzas from our Marra Forni oven in the dining room.

Due to traffic and weather we were very late but we called and told them while on our way. Despite being Valentines Day they were understanding and sat us when we arrived. Told our server about our concert time and she got all our food out quickly. It was all delicious. Spinach dip special was great. Salmon and short rib were generous portions and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. Here through the craftsmanship of an Italian food connoisseur, dishes are prepared with an almost zen-like essentiality that has shaped Riccardo's professional and existential life course. We have been to Trattoria Riccardo since the week they opened.....19years ago yesterday! They have never disappointed us. The food and service are the best. In my opinion, Riccardo's is the best Italian restaurant in Chicago.
