She was able to give us the exact amount of time to look at our menus after taking our order for water and returned with our drink order promptly, she gave us an incredible rendition of the specials offered that day and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Bar and service was perfection. Loft dining service was amazing. Steaks were served barely warm, risotto was undercooked with very small portion to price, mushrooms were very good. Wine selection was amazing and desert was perfect. For the pricing on the steaks we were expecting more. Over all ambiance is why we keep coming back.

Bar and service was perfection. Loft dining service was amazing. Steaks were served barely warm, risotto was undercooked with very small portion to price, mushrooms were very good. Honestly one of my favorite restaurants aesthetically. It's just so fun and pleasing to the eye. I love the little retail/wine shop that you enter into. We have been to this restaurant and the one at the Spectrum several times. We were able to enjoy the OC Restaurant Week menu last night. It was a very nice selection and menu. To start, I got the pear salad. It was a generous portion and maybe a bit too salty. I then got the chicken main and it was perfect. I really enjoyed it. The chocolate budino was fun with the crunchy cocoa nibs and it was the right size. One thing I would say is it was a bit too sweet. I am glad American finally got the memo about less sugar in desserts. That gives you the opportunity to enjoy the other nuances (like spices, chocolate, etc). And, this budino could have been a little less sweet. Not being critical, just sharing my thoughts. We really enjoyed our evening. Thank you! PS I loved the Lavender 75 cocktail.

Wait was incredibly long. We had a 6:30pm reservation but didn’t get seated for over an hour and then didn’t get a chef for another half hour or so. Luckily we got the best chef we’ve had in a while. I don’t remember his name…I think Mike? He looks Asian with a arm tattoo. I’ve been to Benihana so many times, and it can say this chef was amazing in terms of both tricks and cooking skills. I think his amazing attention to detail and the great taste of his food overcame the negative caused by the wait.

Wait was incredibly long. We had a 6:30pm reservation but didn’t get seated for over an hour and then didn’t get a chef for another half hour or so. Luckily we got the best chef we’ve had in a while. I don’t remember his name…I think Mike? He looks Asian with a arm tattoo. I’ve been to Benihana so many times, and it can say this chef was amazing in terms of both tricks and cooking skills. I think his amazing attention to detail and the great taste of his food overcame the negative caused by the wait.
