OpenTable’s 100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining list is the fall must-have along with the fashion trend of ‘Coatigans’ and’Shakets’ as patio season takes off. OpenTable's list is generated solely from diner reviews collected between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021. All restaurants with a minimum "overall" score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. The overall score is made up of unique data points, such as overall diner rating, user clout, total number of reviews and regional overall rating. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the sum of tags for which “hot spot” was selected as a special feature.

As always we a great experience at ABH. During the holidays the decor and ambiance is really cozy and we tend to frequent it several times. On a cold and snowy day sitting by the fireplace and water is a must if you haven’t tried it! Food and drinks are always on point!

Our server Emily R was remrkable. Very attentive, helpful, friendly, smiley, courteous and just downright genuine, polite and the main reason for the high scores. The food was very good but seems overpriced. It would be beneficial to insert some noise reduction padding. Your highest score on the survey meant "energetic" as in a positive wheras it was hard to have conversation (a negative experience) because it was quite loud.

Our server, I believe her name was Rachel, was incredibly attentive, very knowledgeable of the menu and the kitchen’s capability, and had taken extra care to make us feel comfortable, satisfied, and special (considering we were celebrating our anniversary). Our neighbourhood restaurant seats 80 people and offers northern Italian cuisine. We offer feature dishes Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays along with a selection of 8 pizzas from our wood-burning pizza oven.
Reservations are recommended but we also have walk-in space available!

My starter was crispy fried buratta with an eggplant capanatta (and chorizo jam, which I didn't have because I'm vegetarian so they brought me tomato jam). The house made Gnocchi in Chevre Sauce, wilted spinach, moon dried tomatoes, leeks, and cacio e pepe butter, finished with toasted chevre was out of this world! My Italian friend said the gnocchi was like his mom made, he hadn't had it this good since she passed away. Excellent cocktails - very chic - and a superb wine list, warm, friendly service. To finish I had an espresso and a spoonful of my friends tiramisu. Every sip and bite was perfect from start to finish. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough!

The food was wonderful: pizza reminded me of pizza I got on Italy. The wine, suggested by the server was outstanding. The served did a wonderful job of timing the dishes and being responsive to our needs.

Great dinner with a friend. We often choose Graffiti Market for its consistent. Good Food Good Service. Our server who introduced himself was fantastic he made the night and experience even better with his interaction. The only negative. Why would the hostess seat a family with little people right beside 2 people having a quiet conversation. Thankfully we were almost done our visit. When the family came our conversation was difficult because of their noise. Yes im thankful they were there not a scrooge but perhaps another location not where adults are all visiting...others also were bothered by them not just us. We left for a quieter place for dessert and drink instead of staying..

Lovely evening at Hillside Bistro. Thanksgiving dinner for two was delicious and inventive with just enough of the traditional flavours. Wine parings were excellent. Originally reserved a spot inside but decided on the patio instead and the change was made cheerfully by Sarah who also provided attentive service for the rest of the evening. I make it a point to visit when we are in Penticton and I have never been disappointed. Thank you

We love Home Block. The ambience is perfect, the staff are always very attentive - we had Stephanie who was so knowledgeable and engaging. We had the calamari and burrata to start… as usual, did not disappoint. I had the branzino which was underwhelming - no flavour whatsoever. My husband and son at the Bavette (steak). It was going to be served medium rare but my husband asked for medium. Our son enjoyed his ‘as is’ but it was too rare from a texture standpoint. But that’s us. We had the desserts to go but did share the chocolate mousse which was divine. Will definitely be back!

The brunch was fabulous!! The Yorkie Bennie was delicious and a good sized portion! It came quick after ordering! It was fresh tasting and temperature of food was perfect! The service was top notch and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were meeting to catch up and chat over brunch and we probably overstayed our welcome, however, not once did we ever feel rushed and made sure to thank the staff for letting us hang out to finish our visit! Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.

Went for a year-end gathering. Always enjoy being at Milestones, the nice comfy booths along with the stylish decor and the somewhat classy subdued tones. Wow! We just moved to the Lindsay area and some friends had recommended the restaurant! They said it was a very nice restaurant and boy were they right. We were greeted by a nice young lady and she sat us at great table and our server was so nice and attentive. The food was outstanding, I had a Hawaiian pizza with pulled pork on it, sooooo good and my husband had a chicken sandwich which he can’t stop talking about! Their cocktail menu had some nice drinks on it, I had the berry sangria, I felt like I was back in Spain. We will definitely be repeat customers, that’s for sure.

Our terrific and bubbly server was Hanna. Our meals were very tasty and well spaced between app and main course. We love eating in the tiny house for two. Very pretty with the electric fireplace, festive pillows and twinkling lights on the spruce trees out side our window.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had fried kalamari and risotto balls to start and then half size portions of pastas (gnocchi and tortellini), with a bottle of BC wine. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The wine recommendation worked wonderfully. This is a higher end Italian restaurant, so wonderful for a special occasion, but the relaxed staff and atmosphere means it would work just as well for a more casual meal out. We'll return when the weather means we can enjoy the patio. I am glad we didn't order full size pasta portions, but these should be fine for hungry diners.

We always have an amazing meal here. We try to visit at least twice a year. Our server, Cathy, is delightful and explains the pairings at each course. Food is amazing. Wine is incredible. Even the "server helper" (sorry! Didn't get a name!!) is attentive and professional. Even laughing at my jokes, politely lol. It is such a treat to come here. We are fans!!!

Perhaps the Wooly concept is best represented by renowned Canadian artist Charlie Pachter’s Queen on a Moose” paintings. These pictures conveyed what would happen if a British pub was transferred to Canada. That pub would feature local foods, beverages and decor. It would be an All-Canadian pub featuring the best of the British pub culture. A local or home-base pub for its guests.

The Wooly was inspired by the Ontario micro-brewery explosion that occurred in the late 1980’s. The brewery industry was dominated by 3 large companies for over 40 years until the start of the craft brewery phenomenon. Teaching a course on beers at the University of Guelph Bob Desautels was keenly aware of this development. When an opportunity to open a pub in downtown Guelph emerged he decided to feature only small micro-brews on tap.

The rest is history!
