The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

The White Horse was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival after a lovely short rural drive from Chester there was ample parking at front and back. We entered the premises which had a charming bar with 2 roaring log fires and a very friendly, beaming smile and greeting. We had pre booked and were shown to our table in the dining area to the rear. Lovely decor and a beautiful open, light and airy space at the back. We had a wide choice of meals and drinks and opted to go from the sharing Valentines menu. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly, attentive and professional and my partner even commented on the lovely feeling she was getting from staff and other customers. We had a Charcuterie board starter and chateaubriand main. All of the food was quickly served and cooked to perfection. We passed on dessert as the portions were plentiful. The price was very reasonable for what we got and we can't wait to go again.

Fabulous food - the fish pie is really gorgeous and is very popular. The staff are all fantastic - welcoming, warm and very helpful. Atmosphere of the building is cosy and the beams are fantastic although ducking may be required in places! A walk down the pontoon to look at the river and watch the wildlife is a must, even in chilly weather. Car park spaces are limited but everyone seems to manage fine!

We go to the Porthminster cafe around times a year travelling from Paignton using the railway as a, relaxing day out and the restaurant has never disappointed. We had the set lunch menu costing £34 each. I had the Smoked baked Haddock for starters and the Turbot with Sampfire for mains whilst my Wife had Asian Crispy Beef with Hand Rolled Riccotta for Mains and we both had A Chocolate Brownie with Pink Peppercorns for Dessert. At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. First time at the Black Bull. At first look, you might think the prices were a little high for gastropub food. Fear not, when the food arrives you realise the quality of the food is on another level. Had a steak and ale pot pie and if its not the best pie I've ever eaten its definitely in the top 3. My Mother had the chicken supreme which was presented beautifully and apparently was excellent. The pub itself is lovely, lighting prefect, service exceptional. There was a fine dining event on later in the evening and was set up in the dining room which is also very tastefully done. With the masterchef winning chef in the kitchen I expected it to be good but it exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely wonderful as always, the food was brilliant and everyone who served us was lovely. They also put a candle in my husbands dessert for his birthday, which I really appreciated. However, they absolutely need to do something about the toilets. In the middle of a cold, wet, winters evening it’s really unpleasant needing to go outside into the mud to go to the toilet in a shed in the garden centre. Not really appropriate for a £100 a head dining experience. The only dark spot on an otherwise lovely evening.

In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

Overall brilliant experience, food , service, staff all excellent, let down by the front door being constantly left open to allow a bitter freezing cold wind into the room , no one wants to sit in a bar paying almost £20 for 2 drinks freezing cold , suggested putting a self closing arm on the door , the lady took this onboard, and said she would pass on our suggestion, room was also very cold , you should not be paying £220 for a room to have to put a dressing gown and have to get into bed .

Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.

In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Visited and ate two days in a row as such a warm welcoming pub. Staff so helpful and reserved our table by the fire on both days as we requested. Food was superb and thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. Loved all the local dogs and fed them doggie biscuits from jar on bar . Loved our two visits as we were staying nearby at Tinwood Vineyard. Will definitely be back 👌😋🐾💓

The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport.

The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Our menus change on a regular basis and we also offer a small selection of seasonal specials on a daily basis.

We had a great lunch for three of us. The only challenge was choosing from the many excellent choices on the menu. The staff were so friendly and attentive. A great place which lived up to our memories of previous visits.

Four of us had lunch today. We ate from the main and set menus. Nice table location in the restaurant with plenty of space. Great food….the chef made a “special” Beef Wellington without the Parma ham for my wife who has a severe pork allergy. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Great service from the waiting staff…..and a fantastic choice of guest beers! Thoroughly recommend this wonderful gastro pub

Fab restaurant. Me and my wife shared the Beef Wellington Surf & Turf special, and it was delicious. Excellent presentation too. The atmosphere is always perfect - a great 'buzz' without being too noisy. One of my favourite restaurants in York. Highly recommend.

The Crathorne Arms is a great pub in a wonderful community spirited village, lovely people, Lord Crathorne himself couldn’t be more supportive, how lucky we are.

Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.

We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.

Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.
