There is always a celebration happening in Las Vegas — what other city can say that? Whether it’s Friday or Monday, a bachelorette party or bottle service for the sake of bottle service, every occasion is a special occasion in Las Vegas. While there is something truly magical about a place where everyone is trying to have the best night of their life, the inherent spectacle of it all poses a challenge when attempting to really celebrate. This begs the question: When you are attempting to commemorate a truly special occasion in Las Vegas, how do you do it? The answer: by choosing the perfect restaurant. From glittering Strip venues with views as opulent as the food to intimate neighborhood spots meant for shared plates and warm conversation, there is no standard formula for the ideal special occasion restaurant in Las Vegas. Whether your celebration takes the form of cocktails, twinkling lights, and no dress code in the Arts District or the kind of steakhouse worth putting on an evening gown for, consider these restaurants for your next special occasion in Las Vegas.

About the restaurant
On a warm desert evening, Jammyland’s expansive patio is the ideal destination for the kind of laid-back celebration with friends that stretches late into the night. Take a seat beneath the canopy of lights, marvel at the colorful murals on the walls, and enjoy Caribbean-influenced fare (the 24-hour jerk wings are especially popular) and tropical cocktails. Located in the heart of the Arts District — a vibrant neighborhood filled with galleries, boutiques, and antiques — this welcoming spot will make you feel like a Las Vegas local if you aren’t one already.

Everything was delicious! Bartender Jesse is a great conservationist and makes a fantastic cocktail. So glad we booked a stop here, we’ll definitely be back. The wings were great and so was the masala. Just the right amount of heat with lots of flavour! Thanks!

About the restaurant
Stepping into the glitzy world of Cosmopolitan Las Vegas for your next special occasion is a great start — but where to dine once you’ve arrived? David Chang’s Momofuku fits the bill with creative menu items designed to be shared. Start with shrimp, pork belly, or shiitake buns for the table, then order some duck confit ramen. Feel like splurging? The candied walnut lobster and shrimp, which comes with six lobster tails and 18 tempura shrimp, serves four and is 100 percent celebration-worthy.

We tried lots of different things from the menu, and everything was delicious. Standouts were Caviar Buns and Bo Ssam, but you really cannot go wrong with anything you order. Hadley was excellent, and we'll ask for him next time we're at Momofuku.

Our first dining experience (brunch) in Las Vegas. Possibly the best meal we’ve had all year. It has set a high bar for the rest of our stay.

A neighborhood standout consistently offering culinary creativity and quality matching if not exceeding those of more widely publicized international chefs on The Strip; vibe, from reception to service, is more welcoming; pricing, from innovative cocktails to dishes and wines, is considerably more reasonable; the simpler menus, changing according to season and market produce, make selecting any variety of dishes much simpler.

My husband and I went with our group of friends and we had a wonderful time. I also loved our table— we had a perfect view of both the stage and the Bellagio fountains. The food and the drinks were well prepared and our server Joseph was attentive. The show was also enjoyable. Overall, I loved the energetic vibes and would definitely recommend!!

A giant celebration deserves a giant meatball — at least, that’s the logic at LAVO at The Palazzo. Plaza
About the restaurant
Raise a glass to old-fashioned glamour and stunning Fremont Street views from beneath a glass dome at Oscar’s Steakhouse. The Plaza’s flagship restaurant, named after former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman (who has been known to stop by for a gin martini from time to time), was seen in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino. It still offers a cinematic experience today. Enjoy a romantic dinner centered around classic Las Vegas menu items such as shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, and prime rib, and then linger in the lounge for a cocktail or two.
