I love really well cooked, tasty food, without pretentious presentation. This lovely little place was a great choice for pre-theatre food. I had one course with a side. It was absolutely delicious. The fish, sole, was perfectly cooked , served with a delicious combination of samphire, fennel, chilli and cucumber. Great balance of crispness and flavour. I don't know where to start with the potatoes, described as fried. They were new, in their skins, slightly squashed, with the most gorgeous garlic, butter and herbs. It was the first time I had eaten on my own. My daughter wasn't well. The service and the relaxed atmosphere was brilliant.

64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

Outstanding dinner experience that started with our waiter, Steven, who could sell ice to penguins in Antarctica. He professed Bentley’s to really have the best fish &Chips in London, swore his kids lives on it. He went on to recommend the fish pie and seafood stew as being the best in the UK, swore his wife’s live on it. Then highly recommend the lobster spaghetti, his dog. We tried all three (3) dishes as mains with the lobster spaghetti to share. All were spot on and delicious. Highly recommend this place for quality of food but also, high end attentive service. I will be back.

Not been back here for a couple of years. The food and service was very good. Warm and friendly service with good humour. The salt and pepper fried chicken was very good and the flat iron steak was lovely with an amazing smoked onion sauce.

Booked evening meal at Florentina as very convenient for our overnight stay in Park Plaza. Really delicious Calamari Fritti followed by chicken Romana with Parmesan frites. The chicken was superbly cooked - moist meat + light fluffy/crispy batter with stalk of roasted vine tomatoes + rocket lettuce. The serving staff were excellent + happy to serve with a smile. We chose a table near serving hatch so observed the chef + his team doing a great job.

Breakfast offers a full English breakfast. Set lunch at £35 for two courses and £46 for three is popular as are the changing daily specials and varied A la carte menu. Afternoon frequenters enjoy a cigar on one of the outside tables along with Champagne & Cocktails. For those going to the theatre, arrive from 5:30pm for the theatre menu priced at the same cost as the set menu.

We have been to Franklins a few times and it never disappoints. The food was wonderful, they always have something new in their daily menu and flavours are always full of depth and just delicious. The set menu is a steal, the desserts are always a highlight. We always make sure we save space for them. The service was great and is nice and quiet during lunch time at week days. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Sussex for a Sunday roast, and I can confidently say it was a delightful experience! I opted for the lamb, which was succulent and bursting with flavor. Each bite melted in my mouth, making it a standout choice for the meal. The Yorkshire pudding was a spectacular feature on the plate—truly a sight to behold! It was enormous, and my friend jokingly suggested it could have come with its own plate. Despite its size, it was impressively light and fluffy, perfectly balancing the richness of the lamb without feeling too filling. To accompany my meal, I chose a Bloody Mary, which was deliciously spicy and complemented the roast beautifully. It was the perfect drink to enhance the flavors of the dish. For dessert, I indulged in a brownie that struck the right balance—rich yet not too heavy. It was the perfect ending to a lovely meal. The Sussex itself is a charming pub with great decor that adds to the ambiance. It wasn't too busy, allowing for a relaxed dining experience, and the staff members were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. If I had one minor critique, it would be that I should have asked for my food to be a bit warmer; I prefer my meals steaming hot. However, this did not detract significantly from an otherwise wonderful dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Sussex for anyone looking for a delicious Sunday roast in a lovely setting!

We absolutely loved the Greyhound, and can’t wait to come back. The pub itself is beautiful and considered and just as it should be. The service faultless, attentive, warm and friendly, not at all fussy. And then the food. Well, it was all sublime. We adored all of the ‘snacks’ such a good touch, if you’re of the greedy persuasion- guilty. Don’t miss the gougeres or the lardo anchovy soldiers, Suffolk coppa also very yummy! The Raedwald tart starter was dreamy and the mains, wonderful. Honestly it was all utterly delicious and such a treat! Thank you, thank you!

Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. I love Launceston Place. Every dish is different and bursting with flavour. Such a wonderful place to eat with friends. I was so disappointed to hear that it is closing.
