64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

This is a wonderful restaurant that is always magical at this time of year, especially with the traditional dripping wax candles stuffed into bottle necks in the windows. It’s so charming and full of atmosphere and we were given my favourite table in the window. The meal was very nice and the service was good, however, and I accept that waitresses are there to see more, but we were told that the side orders were only small and not enough for two persons and we there ordered a second one. When they arrived this was not the case and one would have been enough, and we therefore left half of each, my question is, why lie to us?

We had the tasting menu with a few swaps as we don’t eat red meat. We ate lots of new and exciting foods which were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. Each dish came with a detailed explanation and we didn’t have to wait long for each course to arrive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I just wish I’d realised it was a dog friendly restaurant as we could have shared this wonderful experience with our pet.

This is my second visit here in three days. First, my daughter and I had a lovely 3 course Sunday dinner and then I followed up with a 2 course lunch today. The server from dinner recognized and greeted me warmly when I walked in the door today. She also happens to manage the wine list and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject, so makes great food and wine pairing suggestions. The food is beautifully made with fresh seasonal ingredients, the staff provides excellent service and the ambience is comfortable and homey. Clipstone is a very enjoyable experience all around, and I highly recommend it.

beautiful colourful food, bursting with amazing flavours. Absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful too and some of the nicest wine i’ve had in a long time. Only complaint was being told that we only have the table for 1.5hrs, it’s not the best vibe as soon as you walk in and just would’ve though that 2hrs minimum was appropriate but I get that it was a busy friday night. Otherwise an impeccable dining experience, thanks so much.

I had a great time at Fiume near the London Battersea power station. My only complaint about Fiume was that after I ordered dishes that were specifically listed as vegan, the waiter was very wishy-washy about it. Not only did he first say that those were only vegetarian, only to find that they were vegan (or could be made vegan?) after checking with the kitchen staff. But also, after taking my order, he came back to ask me if my order for vegan food was about personal preference, or if it was about an allergy. As someone who feels strongly about my personal eating habits, I don't see how that should matter. Either a dish is vegan, or it's not. We were advised to have everything at once as the kitchen was busy - but this meant we had no food at all for an hour and then all of it very quickly, in a random order. The staff were nice but not proactive, we always had to flag someone down. The food is good overall and I’m always pleased to find Malaysian in London, but the roti was a bit dry.

This was my second visit to The Sussex,the first being two months ago.I once again can not fault the service which on both occasions I’ve found it to be efficient,friendly,warm,welcoming & knowledgeable.On this my second visit i didn’t enjoy the food quite as much as i had on my first visit.We chose the Local And Wild Set Menu,which is what i had thoroughly enjoyed on my first visit,and there was nothing wrong with any of the courses served but possibly some of the dishes were less interesting to my palate this time….But it was still a very good experience,my guest loved it,and we will definitely return. I ordered a bottle of their Nutbourne Vineyard Blush rose to enjoy with our meal and we both really enjoyed it and thought it to be excellent value.

My wife and I came for a mid-week dinner. Really impressed by everything about the place, but especially the food. We both had fish - cod and halibut - which was excellent. Also very good Otter beer on draft. We had a table at one end of the bar, next to an open fire which added to the pleasant experience. We don’t live locally, but, if we did, we would be regulars.

Always a warm welcome here at the Cricketers! The lunchtime menu is good with special mention for the burger and ham, egg and chips. Timothy Taylor Landlord seems to be a permanent option and it is very rare to encounter it this far south in the country and all the more of a pleasure to enjoy one of the UK’s finest ales.

Our first time at The Hawthorn. Was a lovely restaurant. Greeted by very helpful polite staff. Very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Efficient and professional. Pleasant and polite. I had the flat iron Steak with peppercorn sauce and crispy skin on fries. Absolutely delicious. Couldn’t find fault. Service was very prompt. The fries were the best I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the Burger with fries and he really enjoyed it too. Plenty of choices from the wine and beverage section. Prosecco was very nice as was the Ilkley beer. We didn’t have room for desert. Again nice choices from a traditional menu. Very nice indeed and we will definitely be returning.

A nice pub with good food. There seemed to be a lack of staff for the service so things were not top notch. The food could have been amazing but the main course was let down by slightly overcooked fish and the fish had no flavor at all which let me very disappointed. I must say the starter and dessert were fantastic and the accompaniments to the fish were really great but as the fish was meant to be the star it was a let down. They did give our two soft drinks for free but really if a restaurant is trying to be a gastro pub they need to tick all the boxes. I would go back just to see if it was an off day but I have heard similar things from other people

Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.

As always, the service was fabulous. The room is classic Brit. The Dover Sole was dependably terrific. You can hear your table mates without shouting. It is a must for me in London
