Akahoshi Ramen is a humble ramen shop in the city of Chicago. Everything is made in the restaurant, including all soups, seasonings, toppings, and noodles.

We are not an authentic ramen shop, though we value the history of ramen, and our ramen is influenced by its past and its future potential. The dish, popularized in Japan after World War 2, is symbolic of both struggle and perseverance. It is both a simple dish, and a fantastically complex one that we treat with reverence and respect.

Roughly translating to “Red Star,” the name “Akahoshi” is a love letter to two cities; Sapporo, Hokkaido, where red stars adorn city monuments, and Chicago, Illinois, where the red star decorates the city flag. Our ramen is influenced by Japanese and American ideals in cooking.

We hope you will join us to enjoy a bowl of ramen, made with the respect and passion it deserves.

Wow is all I can say. We came for the Ramen (Midwest Shoyu and Akahoshi Miso), stayed for the Chashu rice - 2 orders it was amazing. It was absolutely phenomenal food, quick service. Watched the Ramen Lord in action and he even presented our Ramen at the counter! 10/10, eagerly looking forward to our next experience there.

quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in LA. It’s expensive but worth every penny, especially as the restaurant is pretty generous with the portions. The Pane with pistachios and ricotta is amazing along with the the broccolini caesar salad. The uni pasta is simple and elegant, and one of the best i’ve had, especially topped with grade A uni. Don’t skip dessert and take any digestifif offered. $350 for 2 people. Not cheap, but well worth it and unique amongst the many high end choices in Los Angeles

For our first time my parents 25th anniversary was well spent here. The cutest hidden gem in Las Vegas. Shoutout to our server Cody for being so attentive and helpful during our selection process. We had so many dishes like the poke tacos, the famous dumplings, the lil French bites, the special for that night, the kale salad, bbq fries, and scallop bites. Plus we had the ring of fire and pearl cocktail. Everything was delicious and will definitely be coming back. From the hostesses to the server we were treated so well. Thank you for a great night!

This year marks the 50th-year anniversary of the one and only Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. Since opening their doors in 1972, CPOG has been serving its unique style of pizza, the Pizza Pot Pie- an original- baked in a bowl filled with cheese; homemade sauce from scratch (each batch takes 10 hours of prep and cooking time); large fresh mushrooms and topped with a triple raised Sicilian bread-type dough; then inverted ceremoniously at your table. Six mouth-watering gargantuan Oven Grinders, several colossal salads with distinctive, original homemade dressings and the Mediterranean Bread round out its menu.
In the heart of Lincoln Park in Chicago, this cozy restaurant is housed in a historical building. Four of us had a wonderful pre holiday lunch and we are all extremely satisfied customers for close to 20 years. The food was amazing, we began with fried calamari and the cauliflower soup. We shared the branzino (deboned ) sole fish, lamb chops and the chicken souvlaki. For dessert two of us enjoyed Judy's ice cream sundae and an order of galaktourrko and the chocolate cake. Delicious.. Our server Pryush was beyond outstanding, very helpful and extremely pleasant.

Scallops with Vermicelli and the squad were out of this world. Mopa spaghetti was a bit salty. Other dishes were fine. Restaurant was small but a surprisingly large number of counter seating which we enjoyed. Ambience was spartan with a Hong Kong Canto Pop theme. Waitresses were super friendly. We will come again

The lobster, although good, is overpriced. It appears that the prices have increased over the past few months. The steaks are great but too overpriced. The service is top notch, no issues there. But the dress code requirements, although a nice rule, are not consistent.

We returned for a second visit this holiday season; it was wonderful. Got adventurous and had the creamed corn. I noticed my daughters snuck more than an initial half teaspoon taste. It was very, very good. Not watery creamy. This had a nice texture. Try it! The prime rib was exceptional. I had the smaller portion. One daughter had the thinner slices. One daughter had the regular cut. All were sumptuous! Had a baked potato instead of the mashed. It was yummy. We ordered an apple crisp to share between the three of us. It was delicious with a nice amount of apple slices hidden under the topping and surrounded by the usual warm spices. Our server was great! She was friendly, attentive but didn’t hover. Thank you all for a wonderful evening! I may not be back for a while. Palo Alto daughter is moving to Duarte. CA this summer. If she needs help moving, we’ll have to do a farewell visit at House of Prime Rib. Again, thank you!

Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. For the love of her, Orion forged the island for wild game and seafood to prepare elaborate banquets in celebration of their love. The dinner was spectacular in every way. Hygge in New York! The atmosphere was cozy, congenial and filled with Christmas cheer. Flowers and soft candle light everywhere. The punterelle salad was perfectly dressed with ample anchovies, the sea bream en papillote was tender and infused with deep flavor. I doubt you can have a finer meal in Los Angeles. The care in the selection, preparation and presentation of the food, is obvious. It really doesn't get any better. Easy to make the reservation online (though limited open spots) through Open Table. Showed up on time for our Monday 530 pm res for 4 and was greeted with a smile and genuine positive energy. When seated, Brandon, who took great care of us, explained the specials, several of the regular dishes and wine choices. The service was mostly Brandon who was helped by other members of the staff, as well. Noise level was much more muted than usual for an exposed brick decor and lent to the feeling of a cozy dinner. It seemed many of the guests were regulars and gushed over the owners, staff and dishes. We didn't try the desserts as we were stuffed after such wonderful offerings Biggest hits for us were the sunchokes and Bolognese.

After reading other diner’s experiences with parking and since we went in a busy Friday night, we went straight for valet which was great. The ambience, service and food was wonderful. Celebrated Christmas Eve with my family. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Our server Alec was friendly and did an excellent job. The food was excellent as it always is at the Precinct. I had the boneless ribeye, my wife a filet with bearnaise sauce, and my daughters had the salmon. Everyone was happy with their choices and we had a wonderful evening. Williams & Graham is an internationally recognized and awarded craft cocktail bar hidden behind a bookshelf. We have been recognized as a World's Top 50 Bar and Top Cocktail Bar in the US (2x). We offer a rich ambiance, wide variety of drinks, delicious food served until 1am nightly, and genuine hospitality.

We take reservations Sunday through Thursday with walk-in availability. We accept a limited amount of reservations on Friday & Saturday allowing more space for walk-in guests. Due to limited capacity and high demand, all reservations have a set maximum time of 2 hours to enjoy food and drink. Thank you for your understanding and consistent support!

This is a 21 and up environment, we apologize for the inconvenience but we will not be able to permit entry for anyone under the legal drinking age.

It was an experience ! The bartenders are one of a kind who actually know so much about mixology… the BEST ! Awards winners, they are unbelievable ! Don’t be afraid to spend and try one of a kind. Overall a 5 stars experience. We will be back 🇨🇦

A curated 90 minute, three course cocktail experience akin to none. $67 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are accepted as early as a month in advance for groups of 4 or less. Large party reservations can be made through our reservations team at info@neighborhoodsd.com

Delicious sushi! Family friendly and amazing service. We went for Christmas Eve dinner and loved everything. Service was on point and sushi is super fresh & delicious. We will be back!
