We had the most amazing dinner last evening at 1789. A group of college friends had a chance to gather for the Holy Cross vs Georgetown game and ended the day with a very special dinner. The service was attentive, warm and happily added a seventh seat to our table for six. Our waiter described the offerings beautifully and each part of the meal was even better than explained. This was the perfect spot for such a special dinner and one that will long be remembered.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in long time! Food was superb, authentic,flavorful, freshly prepared, attention to detail.. loved every bite. We ordered one cold plate, one hot plate & one large plate which was plenty for 2 people. We appreciated peaceful music while we ate !! - Ala experience was unlike the typical “ have to shout to hear you” kind of place most restaurants serve up today. Server was lovely sweet & attentive. 100% recommend.

Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. Delicious food and friendly service. My grandchildren ages 10 and 12 ask to go to Das whenever they visit. Their parents like it too. Whenever I have guests from out of town I take them to Das for a delightful dinner.

The pasta was excellent, truly superb. I had the ravioli which was one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. The antipasta (arancino rather than arancini as indicated by the menu) tasted a little off—perhaps frozen?—and the dessert I had (panna cota) was presented a flan rather than a true panna cota.

Food was great, however, they changed their menu significantly and took off all the meat dishes (Iskender kebab and others). Now they only have kebabs with ground beef and chicken (no more cut meat)

Specializing in a wide variety of oysters, from such places as Virginia, Japan, Rhode Island, British Columbia and Washington state, Peal Dive Oyster Palace takes oyster preparation seriously, complementing the delicate taste of the oyster. Appetizer options include crispy crawfish fritters, barbecue shrimp and wood-grilled oysters. Besides oysters, house specialties have a decidedly Cajun flair, with items such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee and Gulf Coast Redfish, all of which have an amazing balance of spices.

We were able to sit out on the patio under 2 space heaters with our party of 10 (family from OOT) - it was great to hear each other and enjoy the wonderful food and service! The hummus (mushroom and lamb) and kebabs are amazing!

The food was amazing. The service was perfect. There were a couple of dessert items not available but everything else was great. The jollof isn’t Ghana jollof but it’s not bad. Definitely will go back.

Never fails to be a great experience. The only issue we've had in many years of coming back to Zatinya is noise. This time we arrived at 5 PM for a 6 PM reservation and it was quieter than usual. They were simply fantastic, acknowledged our anniversary and made the night special. But all visits to this superb restaurant are special
