   It was a wonderful date night experience from the service received by host staff to our Server Chris who was absolutely phenomenal! The food was also divine! Will definitely be back!

   I love the upscale yet comfortable feel of this place – very nice, with not your everyday menu choices, but still warm, quaint and cozy. The building is the old city produce exchange and much of it's rich heritage has been well preserved in this lovely restaurant and bar. This was my second visit to The Local Chop & Grill House but my first visit during the holiday season. The Christmas decor was absolutely STUNNING! We are a couple that lives out of state and vacations in the area when we can. My husband and I arrived early, so we enjoyed a drink at the bar, then checked in for our table. The staff was fabulously friendly and attentive - not only at the bar, but also at check in, during and even after our meal. I found it so reassuring that the first question from our server was, "Are there any food allergies or dietary restrictions we should be aware of at your table tonight?" My 16 year old son, who was not with us, has food allergies. In the 16 years that we have taken our son to various r restaurants, this is one of only two restaurants to ever ask us that question. The seasonal menu gives you a glance and taste of local agriculture. I will definitely return to try more dishes. The cauliflower-onion soup was amazing. My husband and I ordered different entree's and sides as he doesn't eat beef and I love my steaks! Neither entree disappointed. Both meats, my filet and his pork chop, were cooked and seasoned to perfection. A personal favorite side dish for me is the Chèvre Mac & Cheese. If you enjoy goat cheese, this dish is a must! The desserts were on point and a perfect ending to a romantic meal for two. Service was slightly slower than expected but it was a busy night and our server was gracious enough to explain the situation and offer more bread, water, or drinks as we chatted.

   A truly special experience. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we tried the Chop House based on website reviews. We were not disappointed. The ambience was classy, the filet and salmon first rate, and the sides were all fresh. Our server could not have been better with his knowledge of the menu, appropriate attentiveness and overall friendliness. Just a great evening!

   The host was awesome and friendly. Same with thr waitress. Brussels sprouts were great like the host said. Steak was cooked perfectly med rare. We enjoyed our dinner. I really like how they serve the sauce and that you can choose a variety of sauces. Cool decor. A great variety of cocktails and wine.

   My rib eye steak was tough and chewy, but cooked as ordered. Salad was excellent. I miss not having duck on the menu.

   My husband was given a steak that had so much gristle on it that I'm surprised they put that on his plate. I'm very disappointed about that. The manager came to our table and she didn't know how to handle the issue. She seemed like she never had customer service experience. Needless to say, we won't be back again. Thanks for our bad Veterans Day meal.

    Food was very good though was just warm by the time it made it to our table. Service was prompt initially then slowed as the meal went on; should not have been a 2hr meal. Server was friendly, spoke so fast she was obviously in a hurry, many of her comments seemed recited to everyone. The restaurant seems old and tired, needs deeper cleaning. We won’t be returning.
