Local Wine & Kitchen is the Main Line's newest wine bar and restaurant. Located in the heart Ardmore and opened in August 2014, Local offers a laid-back atmosphere with a passion for good food, wine and cocktails!

Our free flow kitchen focuses on utilizing the best local ingredients, while making dishes that are creative & innovative. In addition, our bar focuses on our love for wine, and strong craft cocktails. On your next visit- dine family style with us, and enjoy everything that Local has to offer!

We are open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner only.

Join us on March 26th for our wine tasting series from 6:30-8:30. We will be trying 5 glasses of wine presented by our sommelier Dave Steiger. All 5 wines will be selected because they pair great with our changing season. Floral, citrus, and bright notes will be prominent flavors explored this month.

We went on Valentine's Day (also the day of the Eagles parade) so perhaps the experience was atypical. The restaurant appeared to be completely full. We were seated almost on time (we had reserved for 7:15) at a table in what felt like an annex, next to a passageway. A server took our drinks order pretty quickly, but 30 minutes later nothing had arrived. The server noticed and requested them again; finally, 40 minutes after being seated we had our pre-dinner drinks. An appetizer was served 20 minutes later, and close to 8:45 we had our main plates. That was it. At 9:15 the server put a bill on the table without ever asking if we wanted dessert. Service was equally slow at a couple of tables around us, though other diners managed at least to have a full meal. The server was very busy and most of the time had her back to us, so the situation was not entirely her fault; clearly the restaurant was understaffed and there were mutterings about "problems in the back." Nevertheless the food was very good, especially the crispy tofu and pan-fried haddock with apple slaw. There are many good restaurants on the Main LIne now, however, so I'm not sure we will be back to this one.

Have not been here in a long time. Glad we came back! Excellent service, great food and drink! Definitely will be back again. Would highly recommend!

Four of us had dinner, charcuterie/cheese plate plus mains. Food was very good, but each of the mains came out at different times. Had this been tapas, maybe it would have been OK, but it meant that the first three people had cold mains because we waited for everything to arrive before digging in. Subsequently, there was no check-in for follow up drinks or even dessert for over an hour, so we went elsewhere for those. Great location, pretty (and comfortable) facility, and very good and interesting food, but service was at best fair.

We loved the shareables and the mocktails. Our server was wonderful. Our special occasion was celebrated with a complimentary dessert. All in all we had lovely experiences both the times we went. We can’t wait to go again!
