Cielos at Lodge on the Desert offers one of the best dining options in Southern Arizona. Dine on contemporary seasonal cuisine that pays tribute to Southwest ingredients. Complemented by classic craft cocktails featuring local spirits and a delectable wine list, Cielos is the perfect place for a romantic night out or a casual happy hour with friends.
The intimate space is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks a spacious secluded Saltillo-tiled outdoor private patio featuring bistro string lighting, a four-sided, tiled fireplace for optimal year-round al fresco dining. Cielos and its Bar both reflect a genuine, richly authentic Southern Arizona historic charm and ambience including rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wood beams, Mexican tin chandeliers, floating potted plants and shade sails.

New menu from the last time we were there. The food was good and our server was attentive but did not rush us. We were with friends we hadn't seen for some time so it was nice we could talk as long as we wanted.

The restaurant was empty, so we had a cosy seat by a fire. Wine was good, but warm. Lamb chops were cool and lacked flavor. Salad was excellent. Short rib was 75% fat, mashers were left overs? Asparagus was spot on. Service was excellent start to finish.

We enjoyed a late lunch in the indoor dining area which has large windows looking into their cozy courtyard. It was quiet while we were there as it was late lunch and their bar was closed due to the floor being replaced. The service was efficient and our server was friendly and attentive. The menu is limited however it has a nice variety of options which enables the kitchen to focus on quality, in my opinion. Two of us chose the pineapple glazed salmon. It was cooked perfectly with a balanced sweet, spicy glaze. The salmon was accompanied by cilantro rice and sautéed spinach. Both were very tasty however the spinach portion was minuscule. Our third person chose the Jacknife tacos, one carnitas and one steak. Both were full of tender meat and accompanied by pico de gallo, cabbage, lettuce and salsa. Typically it is served with Sonoran rice and charro beans however he chose double beans which were plentiful and flavorful. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to return for dinner soon. And hopefully sit outdoors with warmer weather.

I have been to Cielo's before and I enjoyed it as well this time around. I initially booked outdoor seating to take advantage of the beautiful, cool weather but when I arrived, I saw that they were having a live band outside so I did ask to move inside. They initially said they didn't have any availability but they were able to find indoor seating and I appreciated that. The special entree meatloaf was a hit with the other two in my party and I had the salmon...muah!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Three of us enjoyed specialty drinks, appetizers and entrees that had wonderful flavor, including dessert.

Overall experience was ok. Happy Hour wine was excellent and a good value. Wife’s dinner entree, Diver scallops, were not as advertised on the menu-not bacon wrapped. Also there were only three scallops - for $42.00? We would have expected at least five scallops for that price. Service was excellent. Our table was on the patio near the fireplace. Nice ambiance but a little noisy.

Great taco lunch and able to watch the game in the bar with fellow fans! The prickly pair margaritas are divine, too. Terrific service. Great dining option, especially when staying at Lodge.

I was disappointed with the experience. There was live music that made conversation near impossible. The service was excellent but the food was definitely a disappointment. I ordered the pork chop which was small, not on the bone and sliced in the kitchen. All in all, for what it cost, it was not a good value for the money.
