Café Brakke is a local brown pub near the centre of Amsterdam, nearby the Anne Frank houseand the well-known beautiful church de Westertoren and known for our affordable all-in menu We also have a nice big terrace on the south so you can enjoy the sun. Café Brakke : the place for your bachelor party, reception, lunch with your friends or family!
The meal was amazing including the sourdough bread at the beginning. It was also a beautiful sunny day and we sat by the water. The service was top notch too.
First night in Amsterdam. Looking for a lighter meal for our 13yo but a good hearty meal for my husband and I. Steaks were great. Empanadas were yummy. Got some spice after Paris. Yummy red wine. Reasonably priced.
Went here for lunch on Christmas Day: a good selection of food and excellent, friendly service, just a shame the number of people coming in and treating it like a bar, just drinking without eating anything: there should be signs up saying they are a restaurant, not a bar or cafe.
We’ve traveled a lot and have never before had such amazing and delicious Indian food. From the naan, to the tikka masala to the tandoori shrimp. Just incredible on every level. Also great and friendly service.
Food, service and atmosohere were all great. Quantity and quality of the rijsttafel both excellent. We were disappointed by the desserts, however. They were tiny and not that tasty.
Welcome!Welcome in our new restaurant Hany's Grill. We serve high quality Argentinean steaks, home made Black Angus burgers, fresh fries, and more amazing dishes. We also have a great menu with variety of cocktails and draft beers on the tab!We are looking forward to see you at our new restaurant!See you soon!!
We only came for a cocktail, which were pricey but good. The interior and appearance of everything including staff was impeccable. However, service was on the slow side and our invoice was wrong two times.
But it's definitely a nice place for a fancy date :)
Very nice Restaurant situated in the Courtyard Hotel. Italian. Italian staff so only English.
We ordered an antipasto platter for 2 for € 27.00 which in my opinion was overpriced. Quality was fine but very small platter for that money.
Both Pasta's that we ordered next were not the pasta that we expected and that we are known to in Italian Restaurants.
One because I expected something else. That is not their error.
The other because it was not good. So, when asked for our experience, we mentioned that.
Must say that hotel did not charge us for this pasta dish which was appreciated.
Definitely not what I was expecting after making my reservation. It’s a restaurant in a storefront on a side street in Amsterdam. Small business, but everything was great.
I ordered a cocktail which was very small and no alcohol I could taste . I complained and they took it away and came back with another one . Not a good start but everything else was brilliant
Very authentic Italian cooking, party of 9 enjoyed our meals, from the homemade lasagna to the Carbonara were delicious.
Burata was fresh and creamy.
Highly recommend Pappa Carlos if you are looking Italian in Amsterdam.
We were in Amsterdam for Christmas and by coincidence, so were our son and daughter-in-law! Totally uncoordinated! We chose Day's StoneGrill for our Christmas dinner.
We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation. This was no problem and we were seated immediately.
Our server was very attentive and had no problem accommodating 'substitutions' for the 'set' menu.
The food was excellent and the experience of 'grilling' our entree was new and fun (some reviews state that they were put off by having to prepare their own meat--" We had to work"). Sorry, but that was one of the benefits of this arrangement--prepare as you prefer.
This experience and meal was out of the ordinary and VERY pleasing! Wish we had something like this in our town in the USA.
