Chef Tim Love’s flagship restaurant, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro first opened in 2000, in Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards District, and quickly became the city’s premiere dining establishment. Love has designed a menu influenced by all of the ingredients and cultures that have been a part of the West since the first adventure began on the Goodnight-Loving and Chisholm Trails — with an added level of modern sophistication. Lonesome Dove was excellent, staff was very helpful in selecting food and drinks that paired well (and is within your budget). If you are in Fort Worth, this is a western fine dining experience you must try!

Server was more worried about what she needed than what we wanted. She was more concerned about her presentation than our service. Overall…pretentious and not good value. Won’t be back.

The service was amazing. It was friendly and attentive. The food is expensive but it was a destination for us to try some new things. The spice level on the red snapper was a bit heavy for my taste, but hey, it’s Texas! We tried kangaroo, elk, and rattlesnake. All were fun! My one piece of advice to the restaurant is that there needed to be more that one bathroom for a large place with additional party seating.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated in Fort Worth western style Excellent menu to choose from. Portion sizes are generous Flavors were so good. Light spice complimenting each menu item we tried. Service was impeccable Loved the rabbit rattlesnake sausage. It was my fave Small restaurant with a great vibe
