Four blocks west of "The Square' tucked in the Sonoma Valley Center, Italian born chef, Gaetano Patrinostro uses a combination of the freshest local products and Italian imports to prepare authentic Italian cuisine. His pasta sauces are based on the region of origin, seafood and steaks are cooked to perfection and the desserts are not to be missed. Mamma Tanino's is an off The Square locals favorite and the at home feeling makes out of towners love this place.

Our food was very authentic Italian and the owners were so friendly. Our friends BJ and Sarah Stierch recommended this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We were so pleased with our food and service. We will definitely go back again.

This is a husband and wife team. The husband is the chef and the wife runs the front of the house. The food is outstanding and very authentic. It is a place that is located next to Sonoma Market and is very humble looking. The staff is great and attentive without being overbearing. We have eaten here twice in the past two weeks. The Veal Scallopini is great and so are the pasta dishes. This last time we had the tortellini filled with mascarpone cheese. The tortellini were gigantic and incredible. We also had the profiteroles for dessert and they were filled with vanilla gelato - super yummy. We were told if we wanted something special like Oso Bucco that we should just call a week in advance and they would have it on the menu. I feel this is a place that most people overlook because of the location but you should make a beeline here. Only open Friday/Saturday and Sunday for dinner.

Best Italian food in the area, hands-down. Kim and Gaetano run an amazing little restaurant with some of THE best Italian food in northern California. We don’t go anywhere else when we want Italian. GO! It’s all about the food experience 🍝

This is a neighborhood gem! Tucked away in a strip mall it's old school Italian. The food is traditional, fresh, full of flavor. Our server was absolutely wonderful. We loved it and will become regulars!
