As well as fashion, Daisy has a real passion for food, releasing her own cookbook ‘Sweetness and Light’, a guide to sumptuous desserts without artificial sugar. We asked Daisy for the ‘Lowe down’ on her hot spots for a date around London.

About the restaurant
A sensational example of a restaurant unafraid to look deep into the history books to create carefully considered, beautifully balanced dining in a progressive manner. Theatrical? Certainly, but Dinner is a lesson that style and substance can exist bilaterally. Magnificent. Lowe Down: Order the Tipsy Cake with Spit Roast Pineapple. It will need to be ordered at the start of the meal as the kitchen require the time to tend to it. If wavering, study the caramelizing fruits displayed in kitchen. They will tell you everything you need to know.

About the restaurant
Core is a truly elegant affair. A bastion for British flavours, this is a restaurant that evidently is desperately proud of the produce it sources and curates to put in front of its diners. If you are ambivalent to whether-or-not magic exists, Core will set the record straight. Lowe Down: While A-La Carte is an option, the tasting menus offered here are truly spectacular. There can be little doubt that this will be the highlight of your culinary year.

About the restaurant
St John is a restaurant that delivers on all fronts: unapologetic, conscious cooking and consistently excellent. If its reputation is not enough to pull you in, then its ethos certainly is: it is one of the many reasons I will never tire of dining here. Lowe Down: St John is the perfect restaurant to push the boat out and take a risk on eating cuts of meat you are unfamiliar with. Your bravery will be rewarded.

About the restaurant
Dining here will stir your soul; the precision and prudence invested into every aspect of the dining experience, let alone each carefully considered plate, carries enough emotion to make you weep. Sensational. Lowe Down: This restaurant should be reserved for celebrative occasions. You will know when the time has come to pay a visit.

We opted for the Carte Blanche menu, which marks the fourth time we’ve dined at this establishment. As always, the food was truly outstanding, and the service remains exceptional—easily among the best in its class. However, I would not recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairing. The soft drinks tasted overwhelmingly like vinegar, and I believe fruit juice-based options might be a more suitable alternative. On the other hand, my friend chose the wine pairing and found it to be excellent.

Covent Garden
About the restaurant
Rarely a restaurant will live to celebrate its centurion year, let alone thrive through it. Enter J. Sheekey, an undisputed classic with a famous sole-focus on celebrating seafood. The confidence in the sustainably sourced produce is evident through its uncomplicated and untampered dishes; I wouldn’t have it any other way. Dine here and you will soon see that you wouldn’t either. Lowe Down: Don’t feel unadventurous if you wish to stick with the classics. They are archetypal dishes for a reason.
