Maya is now accepting reservations from 4:30-8:30 Monday through Saturday as well as curbside take out orders during the same hours. Please visit our homepage to see our updated selections daily. Located in the center of Charlottesville Virginia’s Midtown, MAYA serves dinner 6 days a week. Our “made from scratch” menu is prepared daily in honor of the Old Southern Kitchen.

    This was my first time eating at Maya and it exceeded expectations. We had the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer. I had their duck which was on special along with their grits and mac-n-cheese. My fiancee had rockfish, broccoli and roasted potatoes. Everything we ordered was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

    Wonderful Valentines Day weekend dinner. The waitress was fantastic and attentive, food brought out in reasonable amount of time. The cheese fritters were delicious for an appetizer. Both main meals (one of us had steak, the other had the Rockfish) were great. We will be back!

    The food was great (mushroom risotto, steak, gluten-free chocolate torte), our server Joyce was amazing, and the ambiance at Maya was lovely! They were careful to note all food allergies, and the gluten-free food was truly gluten-free (and celiac-friendly).

    Wanted to try Maya for the first time- but for a the prefix Valentine’s Day menu it fell short. The ambiance upstairs was bright lights and not intimate- art felt aggressive- and paper napkins felt a little low end - and yet a $200 dollar bill was the result of the prefix menu. Food was rich and sweet- the cocktail was great though. Overall disappointed for our special night out.

    The building is nice. We were looking forward to trying this place. The menu and drink menu looked amazing. There were several drinks out of stock on Friday and Valentine’s Day. The salad I had was wonderful and the dressing great. The filet was chewy. Crab meat cold. The desserts unremarkable. We were excited to try them because of the description. Overall the price tag didn’t match the quality.

    We really enjoyed our meal. Trout was amazing. Baby back ribs were generously portioned and fell off the bone. And the pimento cheese fritters! 🎉
