   We've wanted to try Michael's Grill for months. Well we did, fantastic food, great service. Niko our server did a great job. Very cozy and quaint. Reminded my wife and I of the small, hidden greens in NYC. Thanks Michael

   Michaels Grill does everything right! Michael head chef and owner is very hands on which makes all the difference. A gem in the middle of Carrollwood!

   It was our first time at Michael’s. At first it seemed cute a cozy. Tables are very closed to each other. They weren’t consistent with table settings. Tables were missing things like either salt or pepper. Some had a small flower arrangement and some didn’t. I ordered a tea with Splenda and was given a sugar pack holder with 1 blue pack and a couple of pink. The rest empty. Just didn’t seem like they were even trying to. At least inform me they don’t carry Splenda. They brought bread which looked like biscuits that came from a package. My wife ordered fish and it came with rice. Her food was barely warm. I ordered pork and it was very salty. We ended up spending over $100 and needless to say it was not worth the money . Service wise, it was ok at best. She came by once when she brought our food. Never returned to ask if we needed anything. We had to wave her down just to get our checks. We ask for boxes just to be polite but seeing how much food was left on our plates, she didn’t even ask if the food was ok. Maybe it’s just me but as a past server I would notice and ask. We drove from Fort Myers to spend the day in Tampa to celebrate Valentine’s and our anniversary on the 15th and we were very disappointed. They didn’t even offer a small dessert for our anniversary. I now it’s a small place but even just a couple of chocolates would have gone far as a feeling. For as much as everything cost. I am all for supporting local and small businesses but we won’t be spending our money there again. They seemed busy and I guess our standards are just too high.

   We’re new to Tampa and we happen to stumble upon this restaurant. We’ve gone 3x now the food is really great and we like sitting outside. The outside is very charming. However tonight I went to the hostess stand which was outside today with 2 girls and checked me and my husband in. I saw her look at her paper list check us off and then she sat us. I just get now a very annoying email from open table telling me I wasn’t at my reservation and I won’t be able to use open table if I miss restaurant reservations and I now have to explain myself to open table. I love dinning out and use open table often very annoyed I have to waste my time filling this out when there was not 1 but 2 girls to check us in! Also, there is a gentlemen that works there looks like a manager wears a hat all the time. He goes to his regulars table all the time to see how their meals are I’ve observed this 3x we’ve been there but yet never comes to our table to see how we’re doing. All customers should be treated the same they’re all spending money there!
