   Our server was fantastic. They accommodated us being late due to parking with a hockey game on nearby. The food is always great here but I found the fish and chips very bland unfortunately. There was no lemon or vinegar. I will definitely return based on service and previous great experiences just try something else.

We don't plate our fish and chips with lemon, as we aim to minimize the use of non-local produce wherever possible. However, we understand that everyone has different preferences, and both lemon and vinegar are available upon request.    Really a unique food purveyor. Interesting drinks and good variety from the kitchen. Proper amount of attention from the server too. Quite noisy however.

   Our meal was outstanding again. Tried some different dishes and everything was great as usual. Service is exemplary and it’s enjoyable to get out and not break the bank.👍 Respectfully, Kevin and Lynn M.

   Food was just alright. Nothing exceptional. I found the carrots in beef cheeks main, and the Brussel sprouts in the app overly sweet. Not balanced. Far too sweet. Sweetness, acidity, and umami flavours need to Be more balanced.

   It was VERY cold in the restaurant and I had to wear my jacekt or else I would have froze! I may not be able to go back until the summer when I can eat outside!

   Hi Paula, Due to the extreme cold the past few days, we had an issue with our heating system today which meant that it had trouble holding temperature. Apologies for that not being properly communicated with you by our service staff. Repairs were made early this afternoon and our heat is back up and running at it's correct capacity.    The menu has a wide and interesting selection of local foods, and a wine selection. The server was good humored and attentive. An added bonus is that you can get to the Book Shelf bookstore from within the restaurant.
