To experience cuisine as performance art, don't miss Mizumi's Teppanyaki room, a light and airy space with floor-to-ceiling windows that boast breathtaking waterfall views for the guests situated around the eight sleek teppanyaki grills. Here the masterful chefs dazzle with theatrical flair, grilling prime cuts of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables. Offerings range from Japanese Wagyu Beef strip loin and Maine lobster to prime New York sirloin and organic Jidori chicken, all grilled to taste and served with a variety of side dishes and accompaniments. Overlooking the Mizumi waterfall on one side and the 97-foot Tryst waterfall on the other, this unique dining experience is your best chance to trade in the glitz of the Las Vegas Strip for the land of the rising sun.

One of our party was very unwell after eating prawns at the teppanyaki. Hence the bad review.

Such a shame. Mizumi has been my favorite restaurant in all of Las Vegas for a few years now. Sadly, the Teppanyaki room is now flooded with fluorescent lighting, making the room so painfully bright, you cannot see through the windows to view the gorgeous outdoor landscape. I asked a manager to run off the cooking lights, since there was no cooking taking place. He refused. So, sadly, we sat in a room that seats 40 with only one other couple, wishing we had our sunglasses. I described the view to my boyfriend, since he’d never seen it, and still hasn’t. No so romantic. The food is remarkably delicious. The service is top notch. But, you feel like you’re in a strip mall, not a world class restaurant.

The food is average to below average for a basic teppan restaurant but the price is outrageous (400.00 for two diners), and everything, including filet minon, is coated in a sweet sauce (we were chatting and didn’t notice, or we would have asked him to stop. I wound up giving the bulk of my meal to our Uber driver. I have no issue with spending 400/meal for my husband and I if the food warrants it and this did not. A supposed high end dining experience was really more along the lines of a basic neighborhood hibachi. Save your money for a true fine dining experience.

Revisited Mizumi as previously a great experience, although this visit wasn't quite as good as last time.. Experience was good, food was good, but the service wasn't as good as previously as there was only 1 waiter between 5 Teppan stations.. I would go back and give them another chance though as the 1st experience was exceptional..

I know that it’s Vegas, but I was very underwhelmed by this experience for the price. The Teppanyaki places we have at home blow this place away at 1/3 of the price. The chef had very few jokes while cooking, moved at a snails pace with no energy, and had almost no tricks while doing the teppanyaki. The food was bland at best. The fried rice was very dry, I had to add soy sauce after it was cooked to get it down. My tenderloin was good for a steak, but had no Japanese flavor to it. I’d never eat here again. I’d rather go to an actual steak house and pay $300 for dinner vs what we got here. $215 plus tip for a combination steak/chicken dinner, a tenderloin dinner, one beer and one glass of wine.

Everyone was wonderful from the hostess, to the bartenders, wait staff and our teppan chef. The food was amazing. Best teppanyaki ever. Not typical. Fine dining level food quality. While the pricing is upscale, everything matches up to that. We would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
