Tea was excellent, sandwiches were good, not amazing. Desserts were top notch, very fun and tasty. Service was excellent and the live piano was a luxe touch. Setting was very nice (view outside is stellar) but slighty odd as its just off the main entry to hotel, so felt less special as an event. Cocktails were very good (not included in price). Really only ding to the rating was value. For the cost $75each, seemed a bit spendy for what you get. Overall we had an excellent time/experience.

This was the first time I had ever been to Montage to have tea. My mom and I were celebrating her birthday. I would probably change the area for tea maybe a more roped off area so others are not confused on whether they can sit there or not and I would also change the layout of the meal and some desserts served. Many desserts had very flowery taste that my mom and I did not prefer. The staff was very nice and accommodating to all our needs and helpful. The view and pianist were to die for. My mom and I had a wonderful time. I would come here again if I had more of a choice on the food portion for the afternoon tea.

I took my daughter to afternoon tea for her birthday and it was more than lovely. The food, service and as always the ambiance is first rate. We are locals and come to the hotel often. The check for 2 was $194...for afternoon tea. I knew this in advance so it wasn't a surprise but again, afternoon tea. Even for this venue that's a steep price. Was it worth it? If it wasn't for my daughter's birthday I works say no but as a directed one-time occasion it was lovely.

Unexpected “$30. service Charge” and hassle over “Complementary parking” $25 charge due to unvalidated ticket spoiled the experience. Not my cup of tea.

What a lovely experience we had enjoying Afternoon Tea at Montage Laguna Beach. The piano music, oceanview, tiny savory sandwiches, multiple choices of yummy tea and wonderful service all made for quite an amazing time of conversation and tea.

The sandwiches were dried out. There was no traditional lemon curd. The scones were cold and they didn’t have enough even though we had a reservation. The desserts were pretty but didn’t taste that great. The best part about it was our nice waitress

Anniversary dinner. Charged for valet $25, even though we had this properly validated by staff And is advertised to be free!. Average quality food and more than one item on the set menu was unavailable, good ambience, poor service given the price and the fact a mandatory 20% service charge is added to the bill. This is likely the only way they can receive high level of tips given poor service quality.

I liked the tea but honestly have gotten much more for my money at other places. I guess tea at high end hotels is just not the best thing because I have had similar experiences at other high end porperties. I do not eat sea food so I was surprised that a place like the Montage could not easily find a sustitute. I feel I paid a lot for egg salad and cucumber sandwiches.

We really enjoyed it but service wasn’t that great. She was friendly but took a while to get seated and no one was there. They also over charged me but once I pointed it out, they fixed it. Not much on apologies.
