I was extremely disappointed. First and foremost, the food: I ordered the tasting menu, Morimoto Omakase, and the with the exception of the Wagyu ,which absolutely delicious, and the desert, the other courses were uniformly untasty. They left me thinking is this for real, especially at the hefty price of $165/person. Also, many of raw fish had an unpleasant fishy smell and taste, and I'm not a novice when it comes to Japanese cuisine. The second major complaint was the music, or more aptly Muzak aka elevator music. It was too loud and felt out of place. The server was pleasant though I'm afraid that didn't make up for the mediocre to bad food and atmosphere.

Everything was fabulous for my wife’s 50th. Arrived at opening, maybe a few minutes early but we’re allowed to wait inside. Seated quickly after she checked her coat. Service was fabulous with Monica. Shared her faves on the menu, answered any questions and was just a pleasure throughout our time. And they also did a desert with a candle for my wife. I would never hesitate to go for a great dining experience

Our server Andrew was very knowledgeable and personable. We really appreciated his suggestions and expertise! Additionally the waitress working the upstairs bar (didn't catch her name) was also very knowledgeable in sake and her recommendations!

Arrived to find a beautifully decorated, and modern restaurant. The vibe was energetic and very cool seating. Service is excellent , plenty of staff that take care of everything without being intrusive. The signature martini with cucumbers was fairly bland. It seemed to lack some type of 'wow' factor to it. We moved on to Cosmo's, which were well done. As far as the food, it was all fair to good, but nothing was amazing. I was truly disappointed in the food, as I expected to be amazed. It was all beautifully plated, but the flavors were nothing special. We tried appetizers, chirashi bowl, sushi, Wagyu. Nothing really stood out. I don't think I will return, as there is much better sushi in Philly!

One of my favorite restaurants to go to when I am in Philadelphia. The restaurant itself is beautiful – the ceiling and walls really make it special. Food is always delicious, especially the Toro sushi, which is melt in your mouth. The chicken curry Katsu is tasty and definitely big enough to share. Desserts were heavier - the sorbet trio is always a hit though. Also loved the sesame ice cream. Lots of yuppie couples on first dates!

Came back after more than ten years and the food is still very good. The A5 wagyu and the toro are excellent as was the sparkling sake. The katsu and udon are delicious and the tamari chocolate dessert with sesame ice cream was creative and tasty. Service was attentive, informative, and efficient. All in all, a mainstay in the Philly restaurant scene that you can't go wrong with.
