Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    Loved the steak, but honestly, it was more the servers that made the night for me. Very good at their job, yet a great balance of personable and professional. Food: 8/10 Got the silver butter knife steak. Some parts were 15/10. Others were a bit too salty for me. Cooked VERY WELL. And dang, those 15/10 bites were to die for. Servers: 12/10. They really go above and beyond in service. Having good short conversations, being warm, and being great servers. Atmosphere: 8 but made 10 by the staff. I had never been there, and it was my first time getting a higher end dinner like that. So I felt a little out of my comfort zone, yet the staff did a great job at making me and my girlfriend feel welcomed. Overall, I loved it and will go back someday. :)

    Our food was delicious from the rolls, soup/salad, au gratin potatoes to the main course.... butter knife steak for two! Dylan was our server extraordinaire. He answered all of our questions and was very responsive during the whole meal. First time for us and yes, we will be back!!

    We very much appreciate the complimentary dessert, for our 43rd Anniversary. A kind and generous surprise! Dylan’s service was great. He was totally charming.

    Had a fabulous time, as always. Dennis, our waiter, was excellent. A very funny guy and was extremely accommodating. The food was terrific, and we, (there were 5 of us), each got a different steak and shared them as well as the sides. Everything was delicious. We finished with a wonderful Port wine and just had a great time. On our way out, all the service people we walked by said good night and thanks and smiled as we left. A great experience that we have repeated several times and will continue to do so.
