    This hidden gem in Hollywood Blvd. If you blink you will miss it. Pass by it many times until today, wow what I been missing out all these years. The restaurant takes you back to an old Hollywood, it’s a time capsule full of memories of days gone by. Musso & Frank preserves the service and food quality traditions of the past when no cellular phone service was available. The hostess, waiter, busboy, chef all served their best. Steaks A-1, Drinks and wine A-1, ambiance A-1. Thank you, I will be back ;).

    They must have had an off night. They were, admittedly, packed. Not an empty table and a line outside. But…no matter, a steak house should be able to get the temperature right on a …steak. I ordered the filet medium, my wife medium rare. Both came red red rare, cold inside one cut. The creamed spinach is much smaller portion than before and lacked the flavor subtleties it usually has. The sautéed mushrooms tasted like par cooked mushrooms in wine, not wine sauce, wine. The mac and cheese tasted like milk. If there was cheese, you cluld have fooled me. And there was so much bread crumbs, it almost tasted like a mac and milk sandwich. I love this place but they were way way off. The manager came by and I started explaining, he said he’s be back and walked away and that’s the last we saw of him. They took my filet back to replace it but then the manager came by and said he’s throw it back on the grill, which I asked to not happen because it usually dries out. He said he promised it wouldn’t. He was right. They just barely warmed it up and it was still cold inside and raw. I would have sent them an email but they had several chances to make it right and kind of made fake attempts. So I have to take them off our preferred list. Plus it was our anniversary, which made it even more sucky.

    The food was delicious except for the bread! The lobster thermidor was especially good. Service was prompt, friendly and courteous. We will certainly eat there again.

    Esperienza ottima. Il locale è meraviglioso, tavolo perfetto e il cibo eccezionale. Abbiamo mangiato filet mignon e ribeye e patate. Ottimi vini anche se un po’ cari. Servizio impeccabile. Tutto perfetto insomma. Il conto caro ma giusto per quello che offre il locale. Raccomandatissimo, grazie

    All aspects of our dining experience was excellent. Too bad they are stuck on that block of noisy, crowded other businesses.

    Filet mignon is always perfect, fries and creamed spinach w a wedge salad to start is a tasty go to. Finish it w coffee and bread pudding. There’s about a hundred combos I love. Lobster thermidor and sand dabs crush as a main course as well.
