Nanni Ristorante in Rochelle Park successfully combines Old World charm and dependability with exciting cuisine and an array of specials sure to please the palate. Menu highlights include the anticipated pasta, seafood, veal, beef and poultry sprinkled with surprises such as frog legs and calves’ livers. Seasoned veteran Chef Paolo Gilberto, formerly of Archer’s in Fort Lee, bought into the start-up Nanni in 1986 before bringing along Archer maitre d’ and employees Manny Moreira and Lino Queirolo. The three have brought simple elegance to this busy Passaic Street restaurant, and have created some of the finest Italian dishes in the area. Nanni’s wine list features selections from Italy, France and California. Step out of a busy day and into a relaxing, traditional Italian venue for a few hours and be pleasantly surprised with good food, wine and excellent service in a comfortably elegant atmosphere.

After dining at many high end restaurants over the decades, we find ourselves always going back to Nanni’s. The menu is full of delicious food choices and there are always different specials to choose from too. Everything is made to order and always freshly cooked. The kitchen is immaculate which is a top priority. We are at the point where we don’t need to frequent any other restaurants because when we have in the past, we always say, “This food was good but not nearly as good as Nanni’s. We should have just went there!” Nanni’s is the best and so is Manny, your personable host!

I have been dining at Nannis for over 20 years and I have always been extremely happy with their food and service. Nannis has an old world charm that some new restaurants try to duplicate but cannot. I look forward to my next visit to Nannis
