The Charles Dickens Pub, named after Broadstairs' most famous resident, is a landmark venue with a rich history. We are happy to welcome dogs into our bar area. The restaurant does not allow dogs except for service dogs. Please make us aware of any dogs you have with you upon booking. Please note, we only serve food in the Bar from 12-6 Monday to Saturdays (excluding Sundays when we exclusively serve food in our restaurant). Situated in the heart of Broadstairs, we aim to use the best local produce available to bring you simply cooked, tasty food. We are fortunate to have a ready supply of locally caught fish as well as the finest meat available in Thanet through our association with Chef & Butcher. All of our steaks are cooked over charcoal giving them a unique smokey flavour. The Pickled Herring is owned by local residents and open all year round. Our menus change with the seasons and our courtyard garden is open for drinks and lunch throughout the warmer months.

The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views. Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.
