Lunch for 4. Calamare appetizer was good. We all ordered different salads. All were good. But warm spinach salad with fried egg and added shrimp was very good. Shrimp were a little over cooked but good.

We love coming to TR and have been frequenting Mr. Canova’s restaurants for decades. We like the food, but live the hospitality the most. Perfect service around cocktails including the perfect martini and very strong wines by the glass including the Montepulciano. The food is classic Italian American, but we tend to eat the salmon, the sole and specials. Our waiter Damien was exceptional.

The Bloody Mary was fabulous especially the jumbo shrimp. The really dark Guinness was excellent. The others on our party had their wonderful filtered water. No kidding, I just love it! The Alaskan chowder was a big surprise for our friends and it did not disappoint. Three of us had a seafood medley over pasta and each had enough for a second meal. None of us wanted to leave anything behind. The 4th person in our group had the baked fish and lobster casserole with rice and butternut squash. It also was a substantial serving and met all expectations. Two coffees and two desserts wrapped up our evening. The limoncello cake was light and delicious. My chocolate multilayered cake was outstanding with half of it now hidden in my freezer for my Christmas treat! It was a nice evening with our friends. The waitress, Belkis, was excellent and anticipated our every need. We will certainly be back again!

The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. We were there at lunch starting at around 1:30pm so it was busy but not too noisy. The food came out in a timely manner, was hot, but not too hot to eat, and was extremely tasty. Our server, Tara, was great on every level and she tagged teamed with another server whose name I don’t remember but who has an awesome mustache who was off the charts too. Overall a fantastic experience.
