- AAndrewNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI took my girlfriend for our anniversary and it was pretty romantic and a really nice atmosphere. Food was really good. The ricotta cavatelli with short rib was my favorite. Plenty of food and dessert was great. Plenty of parking and service was on point. - DDonaldNew York City •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOverall: The food was excellent, the service impeccable, but the noise level was too high. It was difficult to hear our waiter as he offered up the specials of the day and for him to hear us when we responded. It was also impossible to keep up a conversation with the person sitting next to me due to the noise from several other tables. Atmosphere: I noticed some minimal attention to noise damping was done - small panels on the walls - but the ceiling is too hard a surface with too many reflective angles in it for that small effort to succeed. The only answer is more noise control (there was a reason restaurants used to be carpeted) or spacing out the diners more and having fewer customers in the dining room. Elimination of the glass, or even just drapes, over the front glass storefront windows, would also help. The white tablecloths and napkins are very nice, as was the sparkling glassware and silverware. The table didn't wobble. Prices: Are fair - but high. The food deserved the prices, but be forewarned, a couple will have a hard time leaving without a $150 bill for dinner. We expected it so it didn't put a damper on our wedding anniversary dinner - if we hadn't been forewarned, what appears to be a non-pretentious storefront restaurant, the prices might have been a damper on our celebration. Service: Was well-paced and we were never left wondering where our food was.. Food: I had the pork chop (excellent, and great mustard served with it), and my dining companion had the filet-mignon (excellent, and the sides were great also). Our only disappointment was the dinner roll - it was warm but hard and well past its prime. We'll be back. After our last experience with Brandl in Belmar we need an alternative for fine dining. Brandl kept us waiting 90 minutes after our reservation time before even placing our orders. They vastly overbooked, or allowed un-reserved diners in - whatever it made an early New Years Eve dinner into a late dinner. Not good Chris.More infoPoached Pear BistroPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Point Pleasant Beach•4.9
- MMikeNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis is a lively local place that has it all: great food, an acoustic singer providing subtle folk music as you dine, and a friendly staff. The short ribs over a bed of Mac n' Cheese with a side of Brussel Sprouts was sumptuous, as was the chocolate bread pudding that finished it off. My wife got the sesame crusted ahi tuna, and she enjoyed that as well.More infoHalf Moon PointPrice: Moderate• American• Point Pleasant Beach•4.8

The seafood is so fresh and very high quality. The crab salad appetizer was amazing!
