- OTOpenTable DinerSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoServer was friendly, Bridget, if I recall, and on top of it. Husband’s birthday. They brought not only the birthday desert, but a nice taste of the strawberry gelato and blood orange sorbet — because she heard how we wanted to taste it. Husband had the filet perfectly cooked. I had the short rib very tasty, but maybe a bit too much salt. The ambiance was warmly inviting. Just the right amount of light added to a feeling that we were welcomed.More infoMontrioPrice: Expensive• Californian• Monterey•4.6

- CCandyceSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoSuch a great restaurant. We were there early (long story), but were seated anyway. Monterey had just experienced a huge rainstorm and power outage (although Fisherman's Wharf seems to have gotten its power back sooner than the neighboring area). The servers and staff were unbothered and waitstaff was prompt, cordial, and friendly. Plus the food was great! you can't go wrong with seafood in Monterey. But this was a notch up.More infoDomenico's on the WharfPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Monterey•4.5

Discover Monterey
For decades, this area of California has been known for the quality of its locally grown produce and fresh seafood taken directly from the Pacific Ocean. This may be why many of the most important up-and-coming chefs in the United States are working in the Central Coast region of California. When you combine that type of talent with the quality of the local ingredients, you cannot help but create a vibrant, exciting food culture. The area is filled with unique restaurants, including some overlooking the gorgeous, golden coastline. Quite a few of the establishments also work directly with local farms and fishers, ensuring the freshness and quality of their ingredients from farm to table. Along the interior hillsides, one will find beautiful vineyards producing deliciously complex wines.
