Wolnzach Restaurants

My family of 3 shared Christmas lunch at Brenner this year while visiting Munich. It was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and certainly at Christmas. We were seated by the pasta kitchen, so got to watch many of the dishes being made before we ordered. Every dish we had was lovely: beef with potatoes and béarnaise, tagliatelle with beef ragout, grilled prawns, crème brûlée, apple crumble and home made bread. The service was excellent, the restaurant beautiful. We really enjoyed this lovely surprise. Thanks to the restaurant staff for working through Christmas. They made the occasion very special for us.

The Bavarian interior and the picturesque beer garden were like a window into German culture and tradition - a true experience for someone like me who comes from the USA and is looking for an authentic German experience. Overall, the Grantlerwirt is a place I would love to return to on my next visit to Germany. It offered me a welcome break from the tourist traps and the opportunity to immerse myself in authentic Bavarian inn culture.
