- FFredVIPGreater Boston •23 reviews5.0Dined todayChef Hess (and FORC owner) comes out to chat with you and ask about your meal - and that tells you a lot about how this place operates. Very solid service, nice spot right down in the center of Waimea but you feel like you're out in the countryside. Ahi sashimi and "adult" mac and cheese (gnocchi + goat cheese + bacon) were both excellent. The NY strip was locally sourced (Parker Ranch) and was super flavorful. Cocktails were also professionally prepared and outstanding; dessert was macadamia nut and chocolate heavy and that was all to the good as well. Would come back in a heartbeat.More infoFORCPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kamuela•4.5

Discover Hilo
Warm weather, stunning views, and friendly locals make Hilo one of Hawaii's must-visit destinations. But what many don't know is that a fantastic collection of restaurants also populates the area. Noteworthy Hawaiian dishes can be found in abundance in Hilo, as can solid Japanese and American fare. Hilo's best offerings are perhaps all-you-can-eat buffets, which are featured around the area and bring together an array of international options and fusion cuisines. You can't go wrong with authentic Hawaiian food, though, with dishes like poke and luau stew on the menu. And if you have room for dessert, Hilo's strawberry mochi is sure to leave a positive impression.
