A pioneer in the "Farm to Table" concept, Peter serves only the freshest products, at least 90% of which are locally grown or caught, using only sustainable methods. His international menu items are prepared in a manner that highlights the natural flavors of these fresh, local foods. Located in Poipu, we feature both mauka (mountain) and makai (ocean) views as well as sunset veiws over the Kukui'ula resort. Roy Yamaguchi opens The Eating House 1849
at The Shops at Kukui'ula. Named after one of the first restaurants constructed in Hawai'i, by a Portuguese businessman named Peter Fernandez, Eating House pays homage to the popular casual eateries of the mid 19th century that incorporated a medley of flavors from the Island's growing and diverse communities.
Please call the restaurant to make reservations for parties of 5 or more. For parties of 10 or more we require credit card information to hold the reservation, and follow a 48 hour cancellation/no show policy; any cancellations withing 48 hours of your reservation date, or not showing up to a reservation will result in a charge of $20 per person.

    We love Eating House. We had our usual pot stickers appetizer, butter fish entree and chocolate soufflé for desert. They were all delicious as usual. Make sure to make reservations.

    Really great restaurant! I'm not sure why more people aren't trying Table, but my husband and I were on Kauai recently and had a wonderful experience. We both had unique and delicious cocktails, then wine, alongside the mushroom appetizer, seared ahi tuna and the bone in pork chop. All of these were yummy! It was easy to get a reservation, I think only because its location isn't as "prime" as Merriman's across the way ... food was great though, and it was lovely, quiet and relaxing.

    Awesome service from the moment we arrived until we paid our bill. The edamame was delicious but OMG the curry ramen and G-special ramen were simply amazing. We will be back (maybe even on this trip!).

    Easily our favorite restaurant of the trip. Food and service felt like we were eating at a Hawaiian friend’s home. Kids LOVED it too - will definitely come back on our next trip.
