We had a 6:30 reservation but got there early to try and catch sundown (~ 5:15). The restaurant backs up against the bay, and it is an amazing spot for sunsets. The staff sat us after a short wait, ultimately starting our experience an hour before our reservation time. The server, Joe, was excellent and his menu suggestions were top notch. The Rockfish BLT is a one-of-a-kind sandwich. The specials are enticing and we enjoyed a prime rib dinner on a Thursday night. Our server was attentive and friendly. She was able to offer recommendations for drinks and desserts on the menu. The hot crusty bread with the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic cloves…excellent. My favorite dish is the feast of the seven fishes with lobster and lump crab meat and my husband loved the 50 layer lasagna. Also you must try the Brussels sprouts. Comfortable atmosphere, good food and time to catch up on each others news. Monday 1/20 was not crowded, so wait staff took some time to serve us. (Hostess supposedly forgot to assign a staff member to us). Once we got "initial contact" she was attentive, pleasant and gave us space to have private conversations. Great place summer or winter.
