- DDianaVIPTampa / Central Florida West •16 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoLocated in a historic landmark, this restaurant and lovely shops sit in a former estate with grounds so lovely it relaxes the guests with its beautiful surroundings. There are photos and paintings of the property throughout. It is reminiscent of old Hawaii in so many ways; thank you for taking us back to a different time. The meal was excellent and service was very good. We had moctails while waiting in the lounge and they were perfect. Our dining was in a lovely gazebo which was picturesque. The food as mentioned was wonderful.More infoThe Plantation House by GaylordsPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Lihue•4.7

- PPamelaVIPDetroit / Eastern Michigan •32 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoExcellent service from our server who knew from memory the gluten free selections. Our steak and Ahi were both prepared perfectly. Ambience as always, breathtaking. Everyone, from the valet, to the welcoming committee at the desk, to the expediters really take a moment to make a connection however brief. Amazing in this age where it seems people are losing the ability to communicate. But the coup de gras? Gluten-free Mochi cake! Thanking the team for a gluten free dessert that is unique and memorable.More infoBeach House Restaurant- KauaiPrice: Very Expensive• Hawaiian Regional• Poipu•4.6
- CCurtisVIPSan Diego •124 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoSunday was the last night of our trip to Kauai and it was difficult to get Ubers to take us very far from Kapaa for dinner. We read about the interesting Japanese/Italian fusion at Naisla's and decided to give it a try. The outside is a bit unassuming, however, when you walk in it is just a really cool place. We had dinner at the bar and Stephanie was our bartender/server. She was engaging, very well informed about the menu and her service & attitude made the night really nice for us. Their were two appetizer specials - a cucumber salad that had an amazing umami and the wagyu hot rock with salted egg yolk and a wonderful Asian sauce for the dipping - this was nothing short of stellar. My wife had the Miso Carbonara and I had the Fettucine Pomodoro (very 'cheffy' idea to marinate the meatballs in ginger/soy braise) - we both loved our dishes. From all the restaurants we tried while in Kauai, Naisla's is at the top of our list to recommend to friends visiting the island and for a return visit ourselves. Thank you Stephanie and chef for a great evening.More infoNaisla Kitchen & CocktailsPrice: Expensive• Italian• Kapaa•4.8

Discover Hanalei
Food may not be your number one interest when you arrive in Hanalei on the island of Kauai. After you've spent a day on the beach, however, and walked through the Limahuli Garden and Preserve , you'll likely need to pause for a meal. You may grab a quick bite at a local bar and grill or take a chance on a well-known farm to table restaurant. If you pick a place that is right on the Hanalei River, then you'll find an assortment of seafood on the menu including Hanalei dolphin, ahi, and swordfish. These dishes, as well as Baja fish tacos and softshell crab rolls, are popular choices. The fruits and vegetables at many area restaurants are grown locally on organic farms . For patrons who are looking for something besides Polynesian specialties, the town has some steakhouses and barbeque sites.
