- AAlishaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our first experience at Gordon Ramsay Steak and it went beyond my expectations. For starters the hostess were amazing, polite, and engaging. We had arrived early so we sat down outside and in the building waiting to be seated. Once our reservations time had arrived, we were promptly seated at our table. We observe the whole restaurant and love how comforting but sophisticated the atmosphere was. The wait staff were all so kind. Our waiter was amazing breaking down the entire menu and giving us some amazing recommendations. We essentially went with the oysters and lobster risotto for appetizers. We maybe waited 25 mins for our appetizers which was expected, but once it arrived our waiters checked if we need anything else. The first bite of the lobster risotto was amazing, the texture of the risotto was spot on and the creaminess of it was spot on. The butter lobster was cooked to perfection, while the oyster and side sauces were an amazing pairing. For entrees we had the rack of lamb and of course the popular beef Wellington. The rack of lamb was a perfect medium and did not have a gamey taste. Now the Beef Wellington made all the worth driving that far. The puff pastry was flaky and golden brown. The cook on it was a perfect medium rare. It was everything we expected and more. The flavor combination and profile was nothing I could ever imagine. We also got a side of Mac and cheese and asparagus. The Mac and cheese was divine! The perfect gooeyness and the Gruyère cheese had an amazing pull and paired very well with the Wellington and Lamb. Now we couldn’t forget the Sticky Toffee Pudding, it was the perfect ending to an amazing dinner. The homemade ice cream pairing with the warm sticky toffee pudding was the icing on the cake! We will definitely be returning again! The food, staff, and atmosphere was amazing.More infoGordon Ramsay Steak - Horseshoe Lake CharlesPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Lake Charles•4.6
