- GGailVIPPhiladelphia County •109 reviews5.0Dined on 4 Jan 2025Booked for the Terrace Room and requested a pretty view as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. I was pleased that the Christmas decor was still in place, and elegantly done. I had read mixed reviews on the food. We started with the Charcuterie, and then scallops for me and salmon for him. Bananas Foster cocktail was perfect. Banoffee Entremet delicious. There was absolutely not one misstep or one item to find fault. All the food was delicious and prepared to our liking. The pace was perfect as we were dining; not gulping food to move onto the next must do. Karen, our server, was solicitous and attentive without being intrusive. She was knowledgeable and made good recommendations. I have a citrus fruits allergy; she verified each item I ordered was “safe”. She even had my husband’s dessert plate decorated with a Happy Birthday! We had a lovely evening and will return again.More infoTerrace Room at the Williamsburg InnPrice: Expensive• American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.4

The food was great: appetizers — Fried Pickles, Crispy Brussel Sprouts; dinner entrees — Shrimp and Grits, Chicken and Shrimp Jambalaya (Monday special), Fried Catfish with Hoppin’ John and Collards.More infoSweet Tea and BarleyPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Contemporary Southern)• Colonial Williamsburg•4.4
- SScottCentral Kentucky •1 review5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025Plenty of greens in the family-style salad. My husband and I wondered if we would be able to eat it all. We ate 3/4th of it. The fried chicken had great flavor and the beef was tender. The veggies were cooked just right. The texture was medium - not raw and not overcooked- just right. The strawberry cream dessert was light and refreshing. We were very satisfied.More infoShields TavernPrice: Very Expensive• American• Williamsburg•4.3

- WWalterPhiladelphia County •11 reviews5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024We did a round of dinner visits to three of the colonial taverns during Christmas week. The wait staff/Historical interpreters really make the experience and we had three very good ones. The food was all good but I didn't have high expectations for the beef and I was not surprised that it was good but not great. We were there for the experience and all the other food was pretty good as were the drinks and local beer. It was a fun time and an experience that we'd probably do occasionally when visiting WIlliamsburg. We'd recommend it for anyone who hasn't beenMore infoKing's Arms TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.7
