So we shared 3 pizzas and a bottle of Nero Davala wine. Mercurio's in Fox Chapel is our favorite pizza place and we love the staff who are so energetic and pleasant. Discover Oakmont
By the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania lies the borough of Oakmont where several U.S. Open golf tournaments have been held. This Pittsburgh suburb derived its name from a black oak tree that originally served as an important landmark. Oakmont residents and visitors like to head toward the river when they're hungry. Cafes, pizzerias, and sushi bars operate side-by-side on Allegheny River Boulevard and other nearby streets. You can get Italian wedding soup as a starter or taste a variety of spicy Thai curries. Perhaps you'll enjoy a Victorian tea party at high noon. Surprisingly, many of the borough's restaurant owners allow you to bring your own beer, and others provide a nice selection of craft beers.
