Bastrop Restaurants

About a half-hour drive from Austin is Bastrop, a small town deep in the Texas pine forests and along the banks of the Colorado River. The river flows through the city, and local restaurants serve pizza to patrons dining al fresco on the waterfront. Local mom-and-pop restaurants line the downtown streets and serve quintessential Southern favorites like catfish, award-winning chili, collard greens as well as homestyle breakfast and famous pies.
